Automation has reduced errors and saves time in handling complex discrepancy workflows
Pros and Cons
  • "Utilizing UiPath Platform has significantly reduced human error and freed up employee time."
  • "My experience with UiPath Platform's accuracy and reliability reveals that it lacks consistent accuracy, especially in financial contexts."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for UiPath Platform includes multiple use cases. My experience is mostly on mainframes, Excel, web automation, agentic automation using Maestro, and some parts of SAP, ServiceNow, and API integrations as well.

One specific example of a use case I worked on with UiPath Platform is agentic automation. In my use case, After delivering the parts, sometimes we deliver defective parts or some parts get missed, causing vendors to raise discrepancies via email by attaching photos or describing in the mail body any parts that are missing. We get these discrepancies in our ERP system with all the details, and we extract everything to pass it to our agent, who analyzes the correctness of the discrepancy. If it is correct, it is approved; if not, it is rejected. If the agent cannot identify anything, it passes to human validation where a human will provide approval or rejection, affecting how the discrepancy is handled in the ERP.

My team has utilized UiPath Academy courses, which have been hugely beneficial. Through various workshops on AI and Maestro, we have gained a thorough understanding of how agents work and how effective the Maestro system is.

I actively use agentic automation in UiPath Platform and have employed an image analysis agent that assesses if delivered products are defective by examining the images and their accompanying emails. Although it works effectively, there are still some improvements needed to enhance reliability, especially due to the current limitations around confidence scores.

What is most valuable?

The best feature I have observed in UiPath Platform is Data Services, as it significantly improved our handling of data compared to the previous Excel-based process. Monitoring Excel was often a hectic resolution, requiring use of SharePoint to facilitate access for multiple people, which led to file corruption issues. With the Data Fabric feature, we can manage and sort data effectively and fix everything smoothly.

The Data Services feature has greatly improved my workflow with UiPath Platform by enabling a multi-bot architecture where the bot updates the status report for each transaction and downloads it at day's end. Previously, we had to create individual bot status reports and merge them, which was time-consuming. Now, the bot updates the status in the Data Fabric, allowing us to easily extract a full day report at the end of the day, saving considerable time for both developers and transaction processing.

In addition to the features already discussed, I find Document Understanding particularly valuable in UiPath Platform. The classic model had limitations in providing proper annotations, but with the Ixp feature, there is significantly improved annotation capability which aids processing.

What needs improvement?

Enhancements in UiPath Platform are necessary, particularly concerning Document Understanding. If any model version changes occur in the studio, it mandates data type updates at every point in the workflow, which is cumbersome after production deployment. This becomes particularly challenging when companies lack access to production, so we have raised this issue with UiPath for a potential solution.

The features related to agents in UiPath Platform must be improved. Although we have agents, they need better capabilities to understand prompts without requiring precise instructions, akin to chatbot interactions. If the agent fails to grasp a prompt, it should proactively engage with the user for clarification, increasing usability for non-expert users.

My experience with UiPath Platform's accuracy and reliability reveals that it lacks consistent accuracy, especially in financial contexts. While modification of prompts can help, areas involving money always need human validation. Additionally, a confidence score, as seen in Document Understanding, is currently absent for agents, creating a reliance on manual approval processes that is less desirable.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath Platform for eight years.

917,403 professionals have used our research since 2012.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

UiPath Platform is indeed stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

UiPath Platform handles growing workloads effectively, scaling smoothly even as more users and larger automation projects come into play. Since introducing the REFramework, I notice tremendous time savings for setting up complex workflows.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support currently performs well, but I believe it requires enhancements in providing quick assistance, especially when urgent support is needed.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We have not utilized any previous solutions; we have always relied on UiPath Platform. However, I have experience with alternatives like Power Automate and Blue Prism, which are not as developer-friendly as UiPath Platform.

What was our ROI?

While I cannot disclose exact ROI numbers due to compliance issues, we do prioritize time and cost savings in our assessments. An example includes the order placement case where both time and cost savings are substantial, equating to impressive volumes saved throughout the year due to effective last-minute order processing by the bot.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Regarding pricing, the costs involved are currently high, especially with the introduction of agentic units. Although we are using it for free now, I anticipate that future costs tied to usage will heavily impact the business budget.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before settling on UiPath Platform, I evaluated Blue Prism but found it lacking in comparison.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate UiPath Platform an eight on a scale of one to ten.

I gave it an eight because, while there are minor issues that UiPath actively works on, some improvements remain pending.

Utilizing UiPath Platform has significantly reduced human error and freed up employee time. For instance, in the order placement use case, if humans had to handle the task, orders likely would not be placed within the three-minute deadline. The result is substantial time savings and better accuracy with automated processes.

I find value in UiPath user community, having participated in UiPath DevCon in 2026, where we learned about newly introduced coding agents and governance features.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Automation has transformed invoice processing and now frees thousands of hours for customer work
Pros and Cons
  • "UiPath Platform has positively impacted my organization by saving a lot of time and resolving a lot of frustrations, giving our users time to do more important work and deal with customers directly while the day-to-day work is handled by the robots."
  • "UiPath Platform can be improved in terms of ease of use and access to features such as agents within the normal context of UiPath Platform licenses."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for UiPath Platform is to build business process automation, specifically in the group business services. A quick specific example of a business process I've automated with UiPath Platform is the invoice to pay process. We've done a lot of those. In automating the invoice to pay process, we automated a lot of invoices that are coming from our customers, enabling us to read the invoice and process it, and put that in our ERP system.

What is most valuable?

The best features UiPath Platform offers are that it automates repetitive work, so it's consistent, it's secure, and saves people time. That's the most important. UiPath Platform ensures security for my automations and helps with consistency in our processes by always understanding and processing as it's been described. It's very consistent, and when it's not, it notifies us. So it stays within the guardrails that are defined.

I would add that I appreciate the integrations. We had a case where we had to integrate with our ERP system through connectors, so we don't have to go through the UI. That was a plus as it sped up the automation and increased the consistency and reliability as well.

UiPath Platform has positively impacted my organization by saving a lot of time and resolving a lot of frustrations, giving our users time to do more important work and deal with customers directly while the day-to-day work is handled by the robots. On average, our team saves thousands of hours a year, specifically 80,000 hours per year. We build 20 to 30 robots a year, so a lot of those hours saved are allocated to do more important work.

What needs improvement?

UiPath Platform can be improved in terms of ease of use and access to features such as agents within the normal context of UiPath Platform licenses. A less complex license process would be appreciated. Improvements needed include end-to-end automation without human interaction for complex projects.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath Platform since 2019, which is about seven years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

UiPath Platform is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

UiPath Platform is scalable.

How are customer service and support?

UiPath Platform customer support is fine. I would rate the customer support on a scale of 1 to 10 as a 10.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not previously use a different solution.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment. On average, we're saving thousands of manual work hours. For America alone, we're talking about 80,000 hours of work, and overall, around 200%.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that it's been managed by our partner within France, so I'm not aware of those details.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing UiPath Platform, I was not aware of any other options.

What other advice do I have?

My thoughts on UiPath Platform's user community in terms of the value I gain by being part of it is that it's about sharing ideas. It's good to see other perspectives and other struggles from other companies.

My advice to others looking into using UiPath Platform is to learn how to simplify business processes before you start automating.

I use AI agentic automation because people don't prefer to write documents, so we're using that for product design documents. We want to generate those to understand the process better from the source and then feed that to the coding agents.

I'm using agentic automation specifically for requirement gathering to help address these challenges.

We have achieved outcomes by leveraging agentic automation, reducing the time of gathering requirements from a couple of days to a couple of hours, and now the documents are generated automatically.

In a specific workflow or situation where I'm using coding agents to build or troubleshoot automations using UiPath Platform, we build custom agents to gather business requirements. It uses Python and LangChain and connects that to UiPath Platform orchestration.

UiPath Platform's approach to coding agent integration compares favorably to other platforms I've evaluated or used, as we've stayed with UiPath Platform for the last seven years. It's approved within our GPS organization, but we're not exclusively with UiPath Platform; we also leverage Microsoft and other platforms. I would rate this review overall as a 9.

Intelligent automation has transformed claims workflows and now drives agentic decision processes
Pros and Cons
  • "Over the past six years, we have saved about close to 44 million dollars, which I call a soft benefit."
  • "I see some fragmented integration challenges between UiPath Platform and Databricks."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for UiPath Platform is Intelligent Process Automation. I started with RPA, and now we're exploring intelligent document processing using Document Understanding, intelligent extraction processing, and Communications Mining, now into the agentic solutions. Pretty much everything ranges from RPA to intelligent automation.

A recent project with Communications Mining involved a team's shared email box which receives a lot of correspondence from claimants to the claims adjudication team. These communications include inquiries and claim information or return-to-work information. This requires categorization of the communications from those emails and routes those communication messages down to different actions. One of those actions is no action emails, which do not require any kind of action taken by the adjudication team. That requires removing that clutter from the shared mailbox and routing the emails that require proper action. This starts with creating a ticket in our CRM system so that our adjudication team will review those email communications and take appropriate action.

What is most valuable?

I would start with drag-and-drop, which is the basic advantage with UiPath Platform where a low-code, no-code RPA or flow automation implementation is made possible at the very initial stage of RPA. Coming to Intelligent Document Processing with Document Understanding and enabling the integration with systems like Salesforce and Workday, that is a great feature I appreciate. The most valued feature or capability within UiPath Platform is right now the UiPath Agent Builder.

Agent Builder is helping my team, although we have not rolled it out into production yet. We are trying to position the technology for low-code, no-code agentic solution implementation at my company. Copilot Studio is at the forefront of personal agentic solution implementations, and Agent Builder is also coming forward with similar capabilities. Agent Builder proves to be the right solution for implementing the automation-centric agentic solutions. Maestro adds to it, strengthening the capability to position it for enterprise-grade agentic solution implementation when compared to Copilot Studio. Our team being the Intelligent Automation implementation team, we need that clear guidance on where to use UiPath Agent Builder versus Copilot Studio. Fortunately, UiPath Agent Builder provides that clear standout features and attributes.

From a great business value-addition standpoint, UiPath Platform has been used for almost six years at my current organization and automated about 50-plus processes. This has captured about 40-plus million in savings. These numbers demonstrate how positively and significantly it has moved the business experience and efficiencies in the business operations.

What needs improvement?

I think more training and opening the platform more to integrate with the most advanced technologies would be beneficial. Databricks integration is my key point because data is centric to agentic solutions and, from my organization's standpoint, a lot of business data is going to be available through Databricks. I need more closer integration with Databricks from UiPath. UiPath needs to be more open and create that integration from either an Azure-based or AWS-based cloud offerings of Databricks. I see some fragmented integration challenges between UiPath Platform and Databricks. From my point of view, that is an immediate improvement to be made.

I think it is great with its AI Trust Layer, and the governance and security controls made available to enforce through the AI Trust Layer is awesome. One thing I would consider is more open integration with UiPath AI Trust Layer with any enterprise governance control tools or AI gateways. For example, at my organization, we use Databricks AI Gateway as an enterprise AI gateway and try to enforce our governance and controls through it. Having that integration, an open integration between UiPath AI Gateway and an enterprise AI gateway to flow all those controls from that enterprise AI gateway to UiPath solutions through UiPath's AI Trust Layer would be more open to implement the solutions easily through UiPath Platform.

We are less worried about the licensing but more worried about tokenization cost when it comes to AI utilization, whether it is Communications Mining or IXP for unstructured documents or agentic solutions. Our thought process is to be conservative about it. One peculiar thing with UiPath is the bring your own subscription feature still applies some licensing cost or AI unit cost for utilizing the agent features, agentic features, or IXP features. I would like UiPath to keep it more transparent about why those costs are imposed, even with the bring your own subscription.

For how long have I used the solution?

It is close to eight years that I have been using UiPath Platform.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

UiPath Platform is stable, and I have no complaints about it.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is good. We did not experience any challenges or limitations so far with UiPath Platform's scalability. I heard from Camunda that Maestro has some kind of weaknesses in terms of scalability when handling a huge number of transactions. That is secondhand information I heard about it, but not a firsthand observation by myself.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support is great. Our customer success management team and account team make it straightforward and bring the required help when we have any tickets with UiPath support.

What was our ROI?

Over the past six years, we have saved about close to 44 million dollars, which I call a soft benefit. The headcount savings are about close to 100,000 hours a year in recent times. It is about money saved, headcount saved, and scaling the business operations without increasing the headcount. These are the benefits we have achieved with the automation through UiPath Platform.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

At some point in time, we evaluated Power Automate. However, we chose UiPath Platform because UiPath Platform is more mature. Even today, UiPath Platform is still more and better matured compared to Power Automate.

What other advice do I have?

The metrics and KPIs I mentioned earlier demonstrate how it has been helping the business side of the operations. There are business processes where we did not have to hire teams to perform the business processes that migrated from another support team, an external vendor. That is one example. Another example is the scalability of the process without increasing the team headcount in the claims adjudication business organization. These are repeated examples across the organization where UiPath Platform-based solutions have been implemented.

All our business analysts and developers need to go through the related courses, related role-based courses through UiPath Academy. We have a citizen development program at my organization, and before enabling the licenses and access to those citizen developers, they need to go through the StudioX training course available on UiPath Academy. That sets the right expectations of the role requirements and how best they can use the tool. The training truly helps all those teammates to deal with their work with UiPath Platform.

The community support available through UiPath is excellent because most of the questions and challenges that are faced while implementing a solution always have a solution. Someone had already experienced those kinds of challenges and had a solution that solved that problem. Instead of spinning the wheel through support calls or research cycles, we have been able to find solutions through the user community.

We are just starting with agentic automation. My take on it is enabling the business process automation solutions for business operations where subjective decisioning is involved. Prior to that, we had to depend on only deterministic solutions. Everything else used to be kept out of the scope for automation. Now, agentic automation is opening the doors for those business processes that involve subjective decisioning. Our first business process is going to be started designing in the next few months to implement an agentic solution.

We have a couple of use cases in front of us for agentic automation. One is the premium processing related use case where the group insurance premiums come through various formats of the data and require different types of decisioning. The second is a real estate-related invoice reconciliation business process. These are the two use cases we have in front of us. I am sure we are going to find more once we open the capability for agentic solution implementation.

It is a compounded value I am aiming at with agentic automation. It is not just the dollar savings or headcount savings. It is about improving the experience and efficiency of the business operations.

I would want to advise anyone new or existing customers to explore any new features and enable them. Try to find what their enterprise risk and Infosec and compliance guidelines are. With the AI capabilities, I would say a responsible AI and compliance council would guide with the principles for how to enable an AI feature. Do your homework and have those principles and compliance requirements in your mind and do your assessment and get all the information and put the proposal to enable UiPath Platform-enabled or UiPath-provided AI features, whether it is IXP or AI Builder or Autopilot or anything else new with the AI features. That would help you to enable UiPath Platform capabilities quicker and faster and helps you to build the solutions with the risk in your mind and as part of your design.

UiPath Platform is great and one of the good business orchestration and automation technologies. I think UiPath Platform is at the forefront of it with its Maestro capability. I am looking forward to using it, and I am really excited about it. I would rate this review a 9 out of 10.

Automation has transformed complex workflows and still needs better support and pricing clarity
Pros and Cons
  • "UiPath Platform stands out for me because of its usability, its diversification, its integration, and having multiple options for the same thing in different ways."
  • "UiPath Platform pricing is high. Whenever an organization tries to opt for UiPath Platform, the real question comes regarding its price."

What is our primary use case?

I have utilized all the spheres and all the domains of UiPath Platform while automating processes in the industries of banking, manufacturing, telecom, and shared services. I have automated processes for each department of these organizations, including finance, accounts, HR, IT, and security.

When automating things, I follow the approach of understanding whether any other more stable, integrated API is available for the system before implementing RPA. I try to implement that first and then incorporate RPA into the improved process. I have done attended automation, unattended automation, and human-assisted automations.

What is most valuable?

The most attractive feature of UiPath Platform is that it is user-friendly and now it is well accepted and available in all parts of the world. If you want to understand anything, it is not a big deal in comparison to other products. Its usability is quite easy for anyone who does not have technical knowledge but still can use this software based on the business process they know.

UiPath Platform stands out for me because of its usability, its diversification, its integration, and having multiple options for the same thing in different ways. For example, you have the option of sending email not only through Outlook but through multiple options. This diversification sets it out. Additionally, its magnitude allows it to deal with any kind of large process. Recently I completed an automation where there was an invoice with more than a thousand PDF pages, and UiPath Platform was still able to process that invoice, extract the data, and feed it into the ERP system.

UiPath Platform's stability is far better compared to any other RPA product. For scalability, I rate it seven out of ten because it is highly scalable as far as you want, provided a person is willing to spend money on it.

What needs improvement?

UiPath Platform pricing is high. Whenever an organization tries to opt for UiPath Platform, the real question comes regarding its price. It is too high, and most of the time, business cases fail because of its high price. When utilization is considered, UiPath Platform is far better. Only organizations that have big budgets are able to utilize this project; otherwise, their costs are high.

Pricing can be improved, and one important thing is that if they have designed the product so that the latest versions are available, then they should give a heads up to all their customers that from now onwards, this will be the latest version and the previous version's activities are not supported by us. This way, people can be encouraged to use only the available new activities instead of the older ones.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath Platform for more than ten years.

How are customer service and support?

I would give five out of ten. It is mediocre.

A person coming to a meeting to discuss any scenario should not tell us that this is not their domain. Even if that is not their domain, they should take that person with them for the technical support because we are there to ask them instead of just getting the answer that the person is not available and that we can deal with this later. This is not the way.

Additionally, they have increased some prices while providing support. If we have to have a meeting with them, they have started charging for that. I think this is wrong because UiPath Platform is already expensive, and this will increase its cost further.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I used to use UiPath Platform community previously, but after AI-generated tools such as Copilot of Microsoft and ChatGPT, I prefer using these tools because they give an exact answer to your question instead of lingering on multiple things on the internet. I prefer using these tools because even if I want something, it gives me the source, indicating that this is from the source.

What was our ROI?

Return on investment is all about your planning. If you are planning to get the return on investment, then you have to choose only those cases which will give you a benefit in terms of time-saving. If someone is making a business case of time-saving as well as error handling and critical processes, then return on investment will be very low.

At the initial level, I have selected some five processes and defined the return on investment, which should be properly documented and accepted by the customer. What happens practically the next day when the bot is live is that people say they thought the return on investment could have been ten percent, but practically they are getting one percent. This should not happen. Things should be locked in from the start. If we plan properly, we can definitely get a return on investment of more than thirty percent.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I have used UiPath Platform, Automation Anywhere, and Power Automate of Microsoft.

I would rate Automation Anywhere second because it has improved itself in the past few years. Power Automate is a product which is more focused and related to Microsoft. If an organization is Microsoft-driven, it should use Power Automate, but it cannot handle big magnitudes and complex data. If we talk about diversification, complexity, and variety, UiPath Platform stands out in comparison to any other product. Though it is an expensive one.

What other advice do I have?

UiPath Platform Academy is good and it helps to learn, but honestly, there are some questions in their course whose answers are wrong. For example, I have witnessed that they ask a question in their academy to select multiple answers from the following options. Someone selecting multiple is wrong, but they are telling in their solution that the answer is only one. Similarly, in the previous course, the answer was different and in the next course, the answer was different. They should review their test and exam questions.

For Agentic AI and AI both, I can answer consolidatedly that people want to use it, but people are not sure what they want out of it. For example, IT security is a thing and it has humongous policies in its domain. Whenever I try to ask people to start using Agentic AI in IT security instead of just the lengthy IT security approval process, we can create an agentic bot which can tell that your parameters given for this particular thing are correct or not. If they are correct, simply go ahead. If not, then reject the case. This can increase efficiency. Practically, such cases are not there for people to accept them to automate. The reason being there are two fears: one, people still do not trust AI. Secondly, people still believe that if everything will be automated, what will they do? This is a fear of loss.

One more thing regarding Agentic AI which is very important that we have to tell people and even our customers is that agentic is not a robust and quick solution. To implement a proper solution of AI, whether Agentic AI, Generative AI, end-to-end AI, or any other AI solution, it takes time, sometimes more than a year. People believe that they have invested money on it, so they get the return the next day. This will not happen. This is also important to communicate.

I would rate this review overall at seven out of ten.

Automation has reduced manual claims and invoice work while AI now processes documents accurately
Pros and Cons
  • "UiPath Platform's ability to automate repetitive tasks and maintain accuracy is a significant improvement for organizations."
  • "The cost of licensing and using UiPath Platform is a primary area for improvement, particularly for small businesses."

What is our primary use case?

UiPath Platform offers numerous scenarios for implementation. I think of it as building robots that connect systems that would not normally be able to talk to each other. For instance, automating tasks on different systems such as collecting data from an Excel file and loading it to a web application or a CRM. For example, a bot can scrape all the bestsellers on AWS. You can use it to collect data repeatedly, and that automation will also be able to load it into an application through the user interface, mimicking human actions. I have used it in the insurance sector where I am automating claim registration on the system.

The main task of RPA with UiPath Platform is to reduce the manual workload in offices, especially for repetitive tasks. For example, someone keeps typing every day while going through PDF files and capturing the data into a system. With UiPath Platform, you can reduce inaccuracy and process many documents very quickly using RPA robots. A good scenario is a company receiving hundreds of invoices through email from customers. The bot can monitor the inbox, extract the attached files, extract data using OCR, and log in to an application to load the data correctly.

The use of agentic automation in UiPath Platform has transformed from rule-based logic using if statements to AI agents that analyze data to make decisions. This is particularly useful when dealing with unstructured data, such as invoices with different layouts. AI can classify and extract data accurately.

I have worked with both Azure Cloud and AWS and Google Cloud for UiPath Platform. In most of the cases that I work on, we deploy the bot in containers. You will build desktop servers using platforms such as Azure DevOps because we are Agile. The key is to use a cloud environment to clone production configurations to avoid bot failures during deployment.

How would you rate primary use case?

Positive

What is most valuable?

UiPath Platform's ability to automate repetitive tasks and maintain accuracy is a significant improvement for organizations. By reducing manual workloads, companies can process more documents efficiently. AI enhances the automation capabilities when analyzing unstructured data, offering accurate data extraction even with varying document layouts. This advancement reduces the chance of errors and improves turnaround times significantly.

Another standout feature of UiPath Platform is its stability and reliability, especially when compared to other technologies such as WorkFusion. The platform offers a robust framework, which simplifies building complex automations. It integrates seamlessly with external systems, using tools such as managed packages to connect with services such as AWS, Salesforce, and SAP. UiPath Platform's capacity to work with AI and machine learning via Document Understanding adds further value.

UiPath Academy provides excellent resources for mastering advanced components such as AI Actions and Orchestrator, allowing users to schedule processes and implement triggers for automations. Furthermore, UiPath Platform offers a community where users can quickly find support and share knowledge, enabling the construction of complex automation solutions.

How would you rate valuable features?

Positive

What needs improvement?

The cost of licensing and using UiPath Platform is a primary area for improvement, particularly for small businesses. While large companies might see a return on investment, the steep pricing can be prohibitive for smaller enterprises trying to implement RPA solutions.

In past versions, issues with web application selectors were a concern, where dynamic elements could cause the bot to fail. These issues have seen improvements, with methods such as using anchors to locate elements more effectively. However, ensuring consistent and stable deployments across different environments remains a challenge due to possible variations in environment settings that might cause some components to fail.

How would you rate room for improvement?

Positive

How would you rate previous solutions?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

If you leverage the framework to build your bot, you are already prepared to handle exceptions. UiPath Platform provides its own tools for locating issues and facilitating integration with CI pipelines, enhancing the building, testing, and deploying processes.

How would you rate initial setup?

Positive

What about the implementation team?

In most of the cases that I work on, we deploy the bot in containers. The environment is built to mimic a production setting, ensuring smooth integration and deployment.

How would you rate implementation team?

Positive

What was our ROI?

You will get a good return on investment with UiPath Platform. Large companies, in particular, expect to see UiPath Platform when they work on RPA projects. It excels in versatility, working across web and desktop applications, where other tools might fall short.

How would you rate roi?

Positive

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing of UiPath Platform can be a barrier. Comparing it with other RPA tools, the licensing cost can be high, which is especially challenging for small businesses. Larger companies are more likely to achieve a return on investment due to greater utilization of the platform's capabilities.

How would you rate pricing?

Positive

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I used to compare UiPath Platform with Microsoft Power Automate, which now also has advanced workflows with triggers. However, UiPath Platform remains ahead due to its new capabilities and resolved issues with selectors.

How would you rate other solutions considered?

Positive

What other advice do I have?

The use of agentic automation in UiPath Platform allows for decision-making based on data analysis. Previously, bots relied on predefined rules, but now they can use AI agents to improve decision-making accuracy.

The challenge for RPA with UiPath Platform is mainly in document processing, especially in large enterprises. Automation, enhanced by AI, brings significant benefits to handling approvals and other document-intensive tasks.

I would rate this review an 8 overall.

Saves significant manual effort by automating denial management and appeal processes with document classification and task delegation
Pros and Cons
  • "Deployment was good."
  • "From RPA, the benefits so far are significant; our healthcare system is expanding and we need new people, however, after COVID, people are getting more expensive and we just don't have the budget, so RPA has been huge in allowing our current workforce to stay the right size and we use automation to really handle those tedious processes, saving money from a people perspective and capturing denials a lot faster, enabling us to appeal in a timely manner."
  • "One of the biggest pain points for us is that while they have solution decks to help build solutions faster, if they developed more of a framework for areas we don't understand, indicating how to generate ROI or compress time to build automation, that would be beneficial."

What is our primary use case?

Our main use cases for UiPath Platform are mainly back office revenue cycle tasks, including claim statusing, prior authorization, notice of admission, and denials, which is a big one that we're working on now.

Another process we're looking into is credentialing. We have a few use cases in the pipeline that we're looking to tackle next year, which include Agentic AI or Agentic Automation capabilities such as Agent, Builder, Orchestration, testing, or Autopilot.

The biggest part for us in implementing Agentic Automation is the denial space, especially for the appeal letter process. One specific use case that we're wanting to automate with Agentic revolves around our utilization review, where our nurses work through appeals from different payers for DRG downgrades, as all the denials come in from different payers through faxes; we're hoping to have the agent determine what type of document it is so it understands what RPA process to kick off with it. We have started testing this use case, however, it's probably not something that we'll finish this current year; we've started building the RPA processes and we're still working on the agentic piece to solve that.

What is most valuable?

For the Agentic capabilities, the biggest feature functions as a human that can delegate work, which has been the best use case for us to keep the human in the loop as much as possible, only bringing them in when there are exceptions that come up. From what I've seen while assessing Agentic Automation's ability to extract data points, it extracts the information really effectively, especially with Document Understanding and IAXP Document Understanding, which has been amazing with the way that we're able to use that and correctly identify the type of document that we're looking at at the time.

I estimate that with this new Agentic Automation, we will save roughly 4,400 documents a month, saving approximately ten minutes for each document. From RPA, the benefits so far are significant; our healthcare system is expanding and we need new people, however, after COVID, people are getting more expensive and we just don't have the budget, so RPA has been huge in allowing our current workforce to stay the right size and we use automation to really handle those tedious processes, saving money from a people perspective and capturing denials a lot faster, enabling us to appeal in a timely manner. For revenue cycle alone, we have saved roughly 800,000 year to date right now.

The main factors that led us to consider transitioning to an RPA solution were driven by the bankruptcy of our vendor for claim status, prompting us to find a solution, and the cost of RPA turned out to be roughly the same as what we paid the vendor, offering claim status plus more for the same expense.

I am utilizing UiPath Platform community.

What needs improvement?

I don't have any improvements for UiPath Platform, as we are behind; UiPath Platform is consistently coming out with updates and features, but we are just now starting to implement Agents and Agentic.

One of the biggest pain points for us is that while they have solution decks to help build solutions faster, if they developed more of a framework for areas we don't understand, indicating how to generate ROI or compress time to build automation, that would be beneficial.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath Platform for coming up on two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I assess the stability and reliability of UiPath Platform and its robots as great, especially after resolving the hybrid issue with the bots going down; we haven't had any issues since.

How are customer service and support?

I evaluate UiPath Platform support as very knowledgeable; they respond quickly, and while they may not always have immediate answers, they know who to contact to resolve issues, which has been effective for us during the two times we've needed their support.

On a scale of one to ten, I would rate them a nine. The only reason for subtracting a point is the occasional delay in getting the right people available to address the issues; although the initial documentation of the problems is thorough, sometimes it isn't enough.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Prior to adopting UiPath Platform, we used Python code or simple macros through various applications.

How was the initial setup?

Deployment was good. We're a part of the Enterprise Success Program. When we joined UiPath, no one on my team had UiPath experience. So everything that was learned was either through the UiPath learning plans or through our technical account manager. We met with our TAM once a week, sometimes two, three times a week as far as training, helping us build our automations, and also with code reviews and making sure that things are really meeting the standards that we need.

What was our ROI?

I estimate that with this new Agentic Automation, we will save roughly 4,400 documents a month, saving approximately ten minutes for each document.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We did consider Blue Prism as Power Automate before choosing UiPath Platform.

The main differences I found between these platforms and UiPath Platform pertained to pros and cons; UiPath Platform provided a comprehensive package catering to our needs while Power Automate seemed too focused on Microsoft products, and Blue Prism was good.

UiPath Platform was easier for my team, who had no development background, to learn and build quickly.

What other advice do I have?

My job title is Director, Revenue Cycle Informatics. According to my job function, I have six years of experience. We are just now starting to implement Agents and Agentic. The value I gain from being part of UiPath Platform user community is great; it has helped us in many places where we have been stuck, as other customers have experienced similar issues; for instance, we had connection issues with our hybrid deployment and found a lot of information through the community, which helped get our bots up 99% of the time, compared to roughly 60% before. UiPath Platform is growing with the needs of our organization, and I credit my account exec for helping us find use cases and ensure we utilize all elements we are currently paying for. I rate UiPath Platform a 10 out of 10.

Automation has transformed invoice processing and daily operations for finance and HR teams
Pros and Cons
  • "The main benefit we have achieved through leveraging agentic automation is a much quicker speed to value, which has allowed us to get up and running and provide value for our business users much faster than we otherwise would have been able to do."
  • "With any of UiPath Platform's products that we have seen, when it is new, there are some bugs that need to be worked out."

What is our primary use case?

My main use cases for UiPath Platform are finance and HR automations.

We use Document Understanding with our accounting team to process invoice billing. That team was previously going through email, downloading all the invoices, and manually transcribing the data into our system, RightAngle. Now we have an automation that scans the inbox, downloads the invoices, and extracts the data we need. We perform human-in-the-loop validation if the confidence value does not meet our threshold, and then we send that data automatically into RightAngle.

I believe the platform should continue expanding in terms of new capabilities and new AI use cases. One area where we would benefit from AI capabilities is agentic healing, and we would like to see that developed further. We experimented with it when it first came out but did not have much success, so we have not pursued it again yet. Triaging is a significant pain point for us every morning. We have 250 automations running daily, so keeping up with triaging when things break is definitely a challenge. That would be an area where improved capabilities would benefit us.

What is most valuable?

The feature of UiPath Platform that I appreciate the most is Document Understanding.

What needs improvement?

We are starting to use UiPath Platform's agentic automation capabilities. We do have a conversational agent in a proof-of-concept phase, but nothing production-facing yet.

On a scale from one to ten, I would rate UiPath Platform overall as a nine. We are huge fans.

I would recommend that organizations considering UiPath Platform start with a small proof-of-concept. Find that one use case that has a clear return on investment and is highly manual, and be able to use the full breadth of UiPath Platform. If you have a use case for invoice processing or Document Understanding, I think that is where I would start because that is where the platform is heading with newer capabilities. Start with that first use case and continue expanding from there.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath Platform for six years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

My overall experience using UiPath Platform agentic automation capabilities is good. With any of UiPath Platform's products that we have seen, when it is new, there are some bugs that need to be worked out. We have encountered our fair share of bugs, but the capabilities are promising and we do enjoy using them.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We were on-premises for the first two years, and then we moved to the cloud. The cloud has been much better for us in terms of getting access to new functionality and being able to scale more quickly. When I joined the team, I started as an RPA developer and we had four automations; now we have 250. Much of that growth has been attributed to moving to the cloud, gaining access to new capabilities, and being able to advocate to our business users the full breadth of UiPath Platform. When we were on-premises, we were focused strictly on RPA.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Prior to adopting UiPath Platform, we were not using another solution to address similar needs at Kwik Trip.

How was the initial setup?

What worked well was getting the first few use cases up and running with UiPath Platform. Our HR department had clear work instructions, which made it straightforward for us to translate that into automated processes. Where we have encountered some pain points is when we move into new business units. Some of the business units at Kwik Trip do not have process documentation, so helping them build that out and understanding what we need to develop for automations has been somewhat challenging. Additionally, our daily triaging presents a significant challenge. My team is small, consisting of myself as the overseer and four RPA developers. We spend approximately the first hour of the morning triaging to ensure things ran overnight as needed, since our business users rely on the automations to function.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We did not consider any other solutions before selecting UiPath Platform. We received a demo of UiPath Platform and that was sufficient for our decision.

What other advice do I have?

For our internal auditing team, we have a Coded App that includes a conversational agent hooked into our UiPath Platform Data Fabric on the backend to help them get questions answered on particular data points for their processes.

The main benefit we have achieved through leveraging agentic automation is a much quicker speed to value. This has allowed us to get up and running and provide value for our business users much faster than we otherwise would have been able to do.

The biggest benefits I have seen from using UiPath Platform Academy are upskilling our team more quickly. With new capabilities, for instance, we have just started using Coded Apps. Our team did not have prior knowledge on how to use them. We have a technical account manager who works with us and has been great, but getting that actual training and certification for Coded Apps has been a great way to upskill my team.

I would not say that we are very active in the UiPath Platform community. We are located in Wisconsin and we used to have a Wisconsin UiPath Platform User Group. I do not think we have that anymore, and that is something we would like to get up and running again with other companies in the region. In the community, we are active on the forums, not really answering questions, but we use it as a way to problem solve. Outside of that, we are not heavily involved in the community.

On the training side, the main concern we have is with conversational agents. They have to be built in Studio Web, and Studio Web is not our favorite because it can sometimes be slow and laggy. Once we have it up and running, the functionality has been good, but it has been slower on the Studio Web side than we would prefer. We use Studio Desktop primarily, so if we could build conversational agents in Studio Desktop, that would be our preferred method.

I rate UiPath Platform overall as a nine out of ten.

Automation has transformed document processing and improves efficiency in insurance workflows
Pros and Cons
  • "Overall, UiPath Platform is a strong and user-friendly automation platform."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for UiPath Platform is for diagnosis to identify delays or problems. It helps companies manufacture computers. UiPath reads invoices, extracts required information, enters it into the company's system, checks the information, and sends emails automatically.

In my organization, what I find very useful is that UiPath reads documents, extracts customer and policy information, enters the data into the insurance system, checks whether required documents are available, and sends notifications automatically. This saves time, reduces cost, improves customer service, and helps focus on important work.

    What is most valuable?

In my opinion, the best features UiPath Platform offers are automation, document understanding, AI plus automation, system interaction, monitoring and reporting, human plus robot work, cloud platform, and security.

I find system interaction the most valuable feature in my day-to-day work because it connects with different components, such as Excel, CRM system, emails, and websites.

    What needs improvement?

I do not have specific suggestions on how UiPath Platform can be improved.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working in my current field for four months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

UiPath Platform is stable and reliable, and it has a good monitoring system.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

UiPath Platform's scalability is rated at 99.9%.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support from UiPath Platform is rated at 99.9%.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I previously used manual processing and basic scripting before switching to UiPath Platform for its advanced capabilities, better integration, strong governance and security, and easier scalability, also providing better scope for combining systems.

    How was the initial setup?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing reveals that the main challenge is the complexity of pricing options and selecting the right plan. Overall, the investment is justified by the time savings, efficiency, and scalability of automation.

    What about the implementation team?

I have used UiPath Academy to learn automation and improve UiPath skills.

I use coding agents to help build or troubleshoot automations using UiPath Platform.

    What was our ROI?

I have seen a positive return on investment from UiPath Platform. For example, automation has reduced processing time by approximately 30 to 40%, saving around 50 to 60 employee hours per month.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing reveals that the main challenge is the complexity of pricing options and selecting the right plan. Overall, the investment is justified by the time savings, efficiency, and scalability of automation.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing UiPath Platform, I evaluated other options such as Automation Anywhere and Microsoft.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend starting with a few high-volume repetitive processes where automation can show clear time and cost savings, as well as robust security.

I am exploring agentic automation to overcome challenges and complex decision-making, reducing manual work, and making faster decisions by combining people, robots, and AI agents.

For the specific use cases where agentic automation is being used to address these challenges, in incoming insurance claim documents, the robot can extract and enter the data into the system, while employees can handle exceptions of complex cases. This will reduce manual work, speed up the claims process, and improve accuracy by keeping humans informed.

Agentic automation has helped improve process efficiency and reduce manual effort. For example, in document and claim processing, I have seen approximately 40% improvements.

The approach to coding agent integration in UiPath Platform stands out because it combines AI agents, robots, and humans.

Adopting UiPath Platform for coding agents has measurably increased development speed and automation coverage, with development time reduced by approximately 30 to 40%, while troubleshooting and revision time reduced to around 20 to 30%.

Overall, UiPath Platform is a strong and user-friendly automation platform. My overall review rating for UiPath Platform is 9.5 out of 10.

Automation has reduced manual work and has saved several full-time roles across departments
    Pros and Cons
    • "When I compare UiPath Platform with other products, I see that everything is perfect with UiPath Platform in terms of pricing, user-friendliness, capability, and efficiency."
    • "An area where UiPath Platform has room for improvement is that they do not have a local source code saving opportunity where we need to save it in our local file or a local PC."

What is our primary use case?

My use case involves developing robots because I worked as a consultant before and worked with multiple domains like banking, insurance, and healthcare, where I automated monotonous processes. This is my use case where we build a robot, and that is what is mainly used for this tool.

    What is most valuable?

What I appreciate about UiPath Platform is that it is very user-friendly and continuously updates the product according to market trends, which I prefer compared to other competitive tools.

UiPath Platform has reduced human error and freed up time in many cases where we have removed the entire department, and in many cases we have freed half of their work. As a consultant, I can explain this in technical or non-technical terms. We do not talk about the hours we saved; we talk about the FTEs, which means the full-time employment we saved. I think we save approximately five or six FTEs in a year.

    What needs improvement?

An area where UiPath Platform has room for improvement is that they do not have a local source code saving opportunity where we need to save it in our local file or a local PC. They do not have that capability compared to Blue Prism, which directly saves the source code in a database. In UiPath, they don't have that opportunity. Even if I lose my laptop and develop personally, if I lose my laptop, then the entire source code is gone. The tool should not be device-dependent; it should be a cloud-dependent tool.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath Platform since 2017.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

My thoughts on the stability of UiPath Platform are that sometimes we have an issue where they do an update from their side that impacts our robots, especially on a weekend, which is a disaster. I would give it a 4.5 out of 10.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate the scalability of UiPath Platform as highly scalable because they have already integrated a lot of AI features inside the tool, which is truly appreciable. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would say 9.

How are customer service and support?

I would rate their technical support as an 8 out of 10.

How would you rate customer service and support?

    Positive

    What was our ROI?

I would recommend UiPath Platform to other users, and the first important advice I would give is to check out UiPath Academy, which is very good. Also, the community edition, which is available online from UiPath, allows us to use the tool and learn on one single platform. That is only provided by UiPath. I recommend UiPath Platform because it is user-friendly and cost-effective, and we can get our ROI within six months.

What other advice do I have?

I have not started using the agentic automation in UiPath Platform because I took a course last year at a conference, and I think we have not got any use case for that. I am in dialogue with my management on how we use that going forward because it is still emerging, so we have not got any use case for that.

My thoughts on UiPath Academy courses are that the first thing is they are free, and the second thing is they have a lot of useful insights where it gives the complete product overview and what is included. The missing part is that as a course, we need proper understanding of English or proper communication skills, which is boring when compared to all the other courses available online.

When I compare UiPath Platform with other products, I see that everything is perfect with UiPath Platform in terms of pricing, user-friendliness, capability, and efficiency. I would give it a 9 out of 10, while for other products, I would give 7 or 6 because there are a lot of other flaws in those tools. The only problem I have is that it is device-dependent, and that is the reason I have taken one point down from UiPath Platform.

On a scale of 1 to 10 for pricing, I rate UiPath Platform between 6 to 7. UiPath made a complex design on the licensing part. Each license has different pricing, such as a developer license, production license, or tester license. They made it not very simple. If you compare with other tools, they made it very simple. You buy a production license and get a developer license along with that for free. I think that looks very simple.

The hands-on users of UiPath Platform in my organization would be around 15 to 20. It is a public sector in the whole of Denmark. If I include that, we have around 300 or more developers in the complete Denmark public sector, and in my department, we are around 10. For usage, we have around 300 or more robots.

I do not think the solution requires maintenance; it is not a complex one. UiPath made it very simple, and I appreciate that.

My take on the AI aspect of UiPath Platform is that it is the next future. I think it is also an emerging area where people think AI can do everything, but it is not true; it still needs to be checked. The robots are the main important thing for sourcing the data to the AI. Both are very important. AI is the future, but not so early.

I would rate this review an 8 out of 10 overall.

Automation has transformed testing cycles and now delivers major time and cost savings
    Pros and Cons
    • "My overall experience using UiPath Platform's Agentic automation capabilities has been absolutely fantastic."
    • "I believe UiPath Platform could be improved price-wise, as I believe the Test Cloud version currently prices based on the number of transactions."

What is our primary use case?

The main use case initially involved financial close operations, where we used bots to complete repetitive financial close tasks as part of the Berkshire Hathaway Group. Currently, as a partner, I use this primarily on large transformations that customers are undergoing, whether it is on SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday, and other platforms. We utilize Test Cloud extensively, which has all the features of Test Cloud being utilized.

We have automated many financial use cases for most of our customers and suggested it to help them adapt quickly, along with logistics and order management use cases. Agentic AI helps us create thousands of orders in a day for testing or business purposes, replacing a process that used to take close to a month.

Prior to adopting UiPath Platform, we used Tricentis as another solution to address similar needs. However, UiPath Platform has proven to be much faster and more reliable.

How has it helped my organization?

The features of UiPath Platform have benefited my organization immensely, as a lot of time is spent creating things manually, particularly for large transformations. We create a lot of test cases for the business process manually, but with the Agentic AI version on Test Cloud, we ran through all the requirements documentation and uploaded all the requirement documents. It provided us with the workflows and the test cases or test scenarios to be tested, saving us probably about two to three months of time. In a project of fifteen months, three months of savings is almost twenty percent savings immediately. Secondly, we continue to use this for automation, converting the manual test cases into automation immediately, which saves an additional two months on our overall testing cycle. Roughly about thirty to thirty-two percent of overall time savings translates into millions of dollars for all the companies involved.

    What is most valuable?

I find the Agentic AI version on the cloud of UiPath Platform the most valuable.

By leveraging Agentic automation, we have achieved a minimum of thirty percent acceleration in our initial use case with Agentic AI in converting requirements to test cases. We have also saved about fifty percent of the time spent on automation by using the Agentic AI version.

My overall experience using UiPath Platform's Agentic automation capabilities has been absolutely fantastic. We have used Tricentis and many other tools, including SAP Joule, but UiPath Platform's Agentic AI has significantly sped up many processes and helped us overcome past issues we encountered.

    What needs improvement?

I believe UiPath Platform could be improved price-wise, as I believe the Test Cloud version currently prices based on the number of transactions. If you have one hundred test case scenarios and execute them just ten times a year, it totals one thousand executions based on that pricing model, which is very good. Additionally, if they could extend the cloud capabilities of Agentic AI further, it would be beneficial since on-premise customers may have to spend more on servers. If everything could be put in the cloud, they could save on that.

My thoughts on UiPath Platform's user community are that it can definitely improve. In my twenty-five years of experience, including on the influential council for SAP and Salesforce, I have observed that other user communities are more broadly covered with greater engagement. While UiPath Platform's community is really good, I see room for improvement in forming user groups, possibly region-based or something similar.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath Platform for the last fourteen years.

How are customer service and support?

There was initial slowness in responding when a service ticket was raised, but I believe that has improved, and I do not see that challenge anymore.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before selecting UiPath Platform, we considered other solutions, specifically Panaya, Tricentis, and UiPath Platform itself. Most customers preferred UiPath Platform due to its ease of use, enabling even individuals without technical knowledge to automate processes, making it a user-friendly tool.

    How was the initial setup?

My experience deploying UiPath Platform is absolutely positive. For example, deploying Tricentis could take anywhere from six to eight weeks for our customers, whereas with UiPath Platform, we have managed to achieve deployment in just a week to ten days, showcasing its adaptability and quick deployment capabilities.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

What stood out to me during the evaluation process, both positively and negatively when comparing these options, is how UiPath Platform adapted technology quickly, bringing AI to the forefront as a pioneer compared to many other AI platform vendors. The reliability increased confidence among users significantly.

What other advice do I have?

We use the initial capability to convert requirements into test cases, and the second one we use is converting those test cases into automation. These are the two major capabilities we are using.

Agentic AI's ability to extract data points initially needed human review since, when we started working with it, it was thirty percent accurate and required seventy percent human review. However, it has learned a lot, and now we trust the Agentic AI version at least sixty to seventy percent, which is a significant change we have seen.

We saved close to eighty percent of the time extracting data points with Agentic AI because it takes away a lot of human effort needed to analyze the data. For example, if it is an SAP transformation, there are huge changes in understanding the Signavio or the BPMLs. The Agentic AI on Test Cloud helped us convert those Signavio and BPMLs into immediate business process scenarios based on our customer's business process, helping us kickstart our design faster.

My team has used the vendor's UiPath Academy courses.

The biggest benefits from UiPath Academy come from when we got into a new customer with specific requirements to utilize the entire Test Cloud. Initially, our team was only using automation, but with the academy, we accelerated our entire testing lifecycle, which is significant for us as there are multiple stages of test cases we create. We were able to effectively use everything through the Agentic AI version.

The factors leading me to consider optimizing our approach included spending extensive time on manual tasks despite having automation capabilities. With UiPath Platform, we have seen a significant reduction in that effort, as UiPath Platform Agentic AI provides around ninety to ninety-five percent automation compared to just forty to fifty percent with our previous system.

My advice to other organizations considering UiPath Platform is to understand that it is not just about adopting new technology. The adaptability, ease of usability, and how to engage business users beyond the user community are critical. It is important for everyone in the enterprise to start utilizing this, as quality and functionality are not just one person's responsibility in an organization. If the entire organization can adopt these practices, it will help scale overall productivity. I would rate this platform a ten out of ten overall.
