| Director at LTI - Larsen & Toubro Infotech | 4.0 | I use Zoho People for managing HR activities in IT and retail services. Its simplicity and performance management features are valuable, but it needs more functionality and seamless historical data access. We're yet to realize ROI but expect long-term savings. |
| Customer Success Manager at a tech consulting company with 1-10 employees | 4.0 | We used Zoho People Plus for a year but switched to Odoo due to its greater user-friendliness and customization options, which better fit our company’s needs. Zoho should improve its customizable workflows within the subscription model. |
| CEO at HR ACT Pte Ltd | 3.5 | My company uses Zoho People Plus for managing employee data, leave, and attendance. While its analytics are valuable, the tool lacks flexibility for European businesses with data storage needs. Implementation has been complex, despite promised ROI benefits. |
Positive
We are using Odoo. We have been dealing with Odoo for around a year. Previously, we were using Zoho People Plus. We transferred all our system to Odoo. We have been practicing on Odoo for around a year. We were working with Zoho People Plus for around a year.
We are quite satisfied with Odoo. We are able to add modules or apps whatever we require based on our company's requirements on our own.
I find Odoo being more user-friendly, and making changes there is more accessible. Being Odoo partners allows us to make changes. In Zoho People Plus, we were just on a subscription basis, so it was not possible to make any changes based on the company's requirements, which made it a little difficult. As far as security or anything else is concerned, Zoho People Plus was also good, and many companies use it.
We find Odoo a little better and user-friendly compared to Zoho People Plus. For time tracking, we were using Clockify, and we were using Jira and other products. Time tracking in Odoo is much more convenient and user-friendly compared to Zoho People Plus.
We decided to switch because it was not very compatible with our system. Our employees were not comfortable. It was not as user-friendly as Odoo is. We became Odoo partners, which made it a better shift from Zoho People Plus.
Zoho People Plus should improve their customizable workflows. Customization would be really helpful if they allow the company or organization to make changes on their own within the subscription.
We have been dealing with Odoo for around a year.
Before Odoo, we were using Zoho People Plus. We transferred all our system from Zoho People Plus to Odoo.
The setup was not difficult for Zoho People Plus.
It was a paid subscription.
I found their pricing reasonable. It was on an employee basis, depending upon the number of heads. We opted for the whole organization. Price point was not the concern. It was just that it was not that user-friendly compared to the other platforms we were using at that time.
Zoho People Plus should improve their customizable workflows. Customization would be really helpful if they allow the company or organization to make changes on their own within the subscription. On a scale of one to ten, I rate this solution a nine.

My company uses the tool mainly for employee master data, leave administration, and attendance management. Moving forward, they will also do a performance appraisal.
The most valuable feature of the solution is its analytics part. With Zoho Analytics in place, the reports coming out of it are really good.
In my company, we are going down with the implementation service because it is too much of a hassle. If you are supporting European-based companies being located in another location, Zoho is not flexible. As a vendor, you cannot support European business in Asia. You need to be a European vendor to support European business in Asia, and I gave Zoho feedback already that it doesn't make sense as the European vendor who's not on the ground in Asia does not understand the requirements in Asia. As per Zoho, the European vendor makes a joint venture with a local vendor in Asia, and then they do the project together, but I feel that no customer will pay for such complexity.
The only challenge is if you are a European business based in Asia and you want to have your data on an EU server, it is a nightmare.
The tool should offer more flexibility in areas like attendance. Its features are okay. The solution needs more reporting tools. I should be able to choose where to store the data since, as a European business, you are obliged to store your data in Europe.
I have been using Zoho People Plus for ten years. I am a customer, user, and implementer of the solution.
Stability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten considering the past, but now it is a six. In the back office, we have to face a lot of changes in the tool without alerting the customer.
It is a very scalable solution. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.
The tool is suitable for SMBs.
There is hardly any technical support. Instead of hopping on a call and helping us, the support team requires a lot of screenshots of the situation. The support is very slow. There is one issue that has been going on for about two weeks, and I have not yet received a response from Zoho. Zoho is forcing the customer now to enroll in paid support, and it is not okay. I rate the technical support as one out of ten.
Negative
The product's initial setup phase is easy.
If ten means very easy, I rate the tool's initial setup phase an eight out of ten.
The solution is deployed on Zoho Cloud.
The time to deploy the solution depends on the settings the company has, so it is usually done within three months. For me, implementation is when the user says that the tool is working well.
My customers have seen a return on investment, but they have never calculated it.
Zoho People Plus has a very competitive pricing model. The pricing part is tier-based, and it is eight Euros per user.
The features in Zoho People Plus enhance team productivity.
Before using the tool, one needs to be clear about its settings at the beginning and clarify the storage of data before enrolling.
I rate the tool a seven out of ten.
