Has many features in need of improvement, including its monitoring, interface, dashboard and technical support
The solution has many areas in need of improvement. I cannot cite just one or two. These include management, monitoring, interface, dashboard and technical support, by way of example. A checklist should be included and the user interface should be addressed. The solution has a function which allows one to give feedback for every employee and to do so overall. The visibility, GUI and features involved in the feedback function are not up to snuff. Employee service details are an issue.

Decades of use have delivered secure, customizable control for public sector operations and finance
I have just completed three assessments: one on inventory demand planning, another on using artificial intelligence to bring supplier contracts in portable document format directly into PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft works both internally as well as with third-party products that integrate seamlessly with PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft operates both from a need-to-know-only basis as well as being able at the same time to do group purchase and realize large quantity purchase discounts. My clients have used marketplaces, and it is really industry-specific whether they use one or not, or if there is even one available. I would rate this product nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We use the solution for employee and manager services and person management and employee records."
"The solution is stable."
"The allocation tool is probably the most valuable feature for us in PeopleSoft."
"The solution allows us to explore the databases and enables people to properly develop their work."
"With the way that my agency uses PeopleSoft, the most valuable feature of it is the ability it gives us to track our contracts and the release against those contracts."
"The recruiting is most valuable, as it saves time in having easy and fast applicants tracking as well as candidates' contact plus pipeline management."
"The technical support is very robust and I am satisfied with it."
"It's very fully featured. It has more features and more configurability than SAP."
"The customization and catering to our specific needs have helped."
"It provides a very stable platform for us to support key applications, including Procure to Pay, HR/Payroll, AP/AR, Fixed Asset, and Financial Reporting."

Cons

"The solution has many areas in need of improvement, including management, monitoring, interface, dashboard and technical support."
"An area for improvement would be PeopleSoft's global payroll capabilities, which could be easier to use."
"We've had to build all our data warehouses and datamarts in order for PeopleSoft to do the detailed reporting that we need."
"Areas that need improvement are the add-ons to the fluid pages and additional features in SCM and finance, both functionally and technically."
"The bugs are always in the latest release, so I always tell my client to be one release behind, let somebody else find all those bugs, and their response time in fixing those bugs sometimes takes a little while."
"I think PeopleSoft should focus on enhancing the tools and the UI, and making it a more updated app as opposed to the old, tiny, older look and feel."
"There should be more analytics, monitoring analytics, and also machine learning should be incorporated into the core product."
"I think the inventory part it should be simplified. There is a lot of shuffling through pages, which creates a lot of problems for our users."
"There are some small things I'd like changing, but the big thing that needs work is their technical support."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There are no additional costs for licensing."

Although both are solutions to manage HR, their differences make each one suitable for different companies. Oracle Cloud HCM is a platform for connecting all human resource processes in your organ...
What is your experience regarding pricing and costs for PeopleSoft?
The pricing is customer-specific, so I am not generally privy to what the pricing for licensing is. However, generally, I think PeopleSoft is certainly cheaper than cloud solutions.
