Trusted Advisor offers features that provide inside information for the entire account, including identifying security gaps and offering cost optimization insights. The key features include security recommendations, cost optimization, and various packages to choose from, depending on the size of the company. It is especially beneficial for larger companies, as the tool provides a comprehensive view of account security, open ports, buckets, and offers recommendations for protection.

Centralized policies have simplified hybrid operations and now support automated workflows
The challenge could be if there are any bugs. Most of the time, you may feel that the TCAM resources are getting full on the Nexus just because of some bug or the configuration is not supported. Or sometimes, if there are any vulnerabilities happening on the current running firmware, those are challenges we have. And if you talk about from the compute side, there were initial bugs such as a CPU throttle issue. Because of that, the chassis was not running in an optimum way. You may see performance issues during that time. For that, Cisco released a patch, and it got fixed. I think Cisco Intersight should allow more automation capabilities. It should be more open, and it should provide more automation capabilities. I think there is also a scope of making it a little bit simpler because a lot of policy and config sometimes becomes confusing for the user because it has a lot of config. Maybe they can do a little bit of simplification with Cisco Intersight.

"AWS Trusted Advisor is a tool that we can use to optimize the AWS infrastructure cost."
"The cost optimization features are valuable."
"Trusted Advisor offers features that provide inside information for the entire account, including identifying security gaps and offering cost optimization insights."
"The Security Advisor is the most valuable feature. It instantly informs you about any system misconfigurations, and the best part is, it's completely free."
"I would give it a ten out of ten."
"Intersight offers many features that provide great value to companies."
"Cisco Intersight allows us to manage our data center remotely, which is crucial as our data center is located in a different physical environment."
"Cisco Intersight has positively impacted my organization by providing more automation and less manual work, as everything can be automatic after registration to Cisco Intersight and offering more visibility as well."
"We enjoy having an inside view of all the data centers and all the EdgeX nodes within a single portal rather than going into the EdgeX connections one by one."
"The product has good integration."
"What I like best about Cisco Intersight is the way it's developing and converging into everything that the cloud has to offer, e.g. it's converging into one platform which is good."
"Using Intersight with this small team makes our job easy."
"Cisco Intersight makes onboarding much easier; it provides comprehensive hardware monitoring, firmware management, proactive alerts, server inventory, UCS configurations, service profiles for compliance, support integration, automation capabilities, and it offers multi-site visibility with cloud-based access that simplifies management."

Cons

"I'd like the solution to support clouds beyond AWS."
"Trusted Advisor currently scans the whole system, including development, staging, and QA environments, which increases costs. It would be better if it could selectively scan only production systems."
"Maybe if Trusted Advisor could also help us with IP address issues and the status of our VPCs, it would be beneficial."
"For EC2 instances, we need to install the AWS CloudWatch agent to get the memory metric because we don't have a by-default memory utilization graph on cost optimization."
"However, the integration between Trusted Advisor and Security Hub occasionally confuses as there are many overlapping AWS services and the same finding can be duplicated."
"Whenever they suggest anything or any changes in the environment, we cannot click and simply implement those changes."
"The integration between Trusted Advisor and Security Hub sometimes lacks, and I need a way to ensure things come through there."
"Maybe adding more security rules would be great."
"Regarding pricing for Cisco Intersight, all the prices from different vendors have drastically increased during these four years, so I would say it's expensive."
"Cisco Intersight is a stable product, but it needs some improvement."
"The usability must be better."
"I would like AI to be more integrated into Cisco Intersight."
"Cisco Intersight should allow for more automation capabilities and be more open."
"Cisco Intersight's license cost is very high compared to AWS and Azure solutions, which have lower initiation costs. The high initial cost is a significant concern."
"There is a significant issue regarding migration from UCS Manager into Intersight without formatting the Fabric Interconnects (FI), which is problematic in a production environment."
"When new features are added, the service becomes full of bugs and does not work."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Trusted Advisor offers various packages, with the most comprehensive costing $15,000 per month."
"Cisco Intersight is not cheap, but it's not the most expensive product either."
"It's just the standard licensing cost. There are no additional fees."
"You can get a free license for monitoring but need to purchase a license if you need extra control."
"Cisco Intersight has competitive pricing. On a scale of one to five, my rating for its pricing is four."
"The product is cost-effective."
