Very good disk encryption, secure authentication, and centralized administration
At the time when this tool was launched on the market, it had new technologies integrated within. It was the beginning of the revolution of computing, and at the beginning, with the characteristics, everything was wonderful. However, if we compare it with today's technologies, we see that it is lacking quite a few things, including a nice interface, more functionalities, integrations with third parties, more security administration in policies, and more detailed reports.

Reliable threat protection is achieved while integration and analysis capabilities need refinement
Cisco Secure Endpoint is very good in machine learning, which allows it to secure offline contents even if not connected to the internet. We haven't encountered a single breach after it's deployed. It controls USB devices and has a separate antivirus solution called Tetra, providing security even for real-time, day-zero attacks through its strong Talos threat intelligence platform.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Check Point GAiA is easy to use."
"Full disk encryption helps us ensure that data stored on a device is encrypted."
"From the moment we started using Check Point Secure Web Gateway, we realized its great value and ability to take it not only on-premise but also into our cloud-based environment."
"If you have a Premium Support plan then the technical support is very good."
"One of the characteristics that give us the most value is that it offers the ability to perform HTTPS inspections."
"At the time when this tool was launched on the market, it had new technologies integrated within."
"Real-time threat prevention using sandboxing, file trajectory, and retrospective security."
"It provides real-time visibility and control over endpoints, allowing its users to promptly respond to any security incidents and remediate any vulnerabilities."
"We have been very happy with it."
"AMP and the rest of the security stack from Cisco give me peace of mind that the network is taking care of itself and that the endpoints are protected."
"The tool's most valuable feature is its integration with other Cisco products, such as switches and routers. This integration allows comprehensive coverage of security parameters across the customer's entire network. Customers find it easier to manage because they already know Cisco products. The cloud-based management is another valuable feature, enabling customers to manage their security from anywhere with an internet connection."
"Device Trajectory is one of the most valuable features. We're able to dig in and really understand how things came to be and where to focus our efforts."
"With Cisco Secure Endpoint, we now have visibility over what is happening on the endpoint side."
"The stability of the solution is perfect. I believe it's the most stable solution on the market right now."

Cons

"We would maybe want (in the future) advanced security in the filtering of access to the metaverse by augmented reality cameras."
"The UI was one of the most difficult points to get used to. Due to the UI, even though it was used every day, the administration was complicated."
"In the next release of this solution, I would like to see application identity support."
"Overall, this is a good product but it does lack features that we need."
"The installation was quite complex."
"Cisco Meraki could benefit from AI assistance or intelligent assistance features. Compared to competitors like Juniper, Cisco Meraki currently lacks a digital network assistant, which is an area Cisco is reportedly working on."
"The thing I hate the most, which they have not fixed, is when it creates duplicate entries within a console."
"It is not very stable because we have new versions four times a year, which fixes bugs. We had some problems with some deployments."
"It could be improved in connection with artificial intelligence and IoT."
"We have had some problems with updates not playing nice with our environment. This is important, because if there is a new version, we need to test it thoroughly before it goes into production. We cannot just say, "There's a new version. It's not going to give us any problems." With the complexity of the solution using multiple engines for multiple tasks, it can sometimes cause performance issues on our endpoints. Therefore, we need to test it before we deploy. That takes one to three days before we can be certain that the new version plays nice with our environment."
"It cannot currently block URLs over websites."
"The reporting and analytics areas of the solution need to be improved."
"One of the things that Cisco Secure Endpoint really needs is that it's not just Secure Endpoint, it's a point product, and I think we really need to move into solution-based selling, designing, and architecting. So that we're not worried about putting things on endpoints and selling 'x' amount of endpoints, but to provide a solution that covers all of the remote access and sell them as solutions that cover multiple things."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"There are a couple of different consumption models: Pay up front, or if you have an enterprise agreement, you can do a monthly thing. Check your licensing possibilities and see what's best for your organization."
"Our company was very happy with the price of Cisco AMP. It was about a third of what we were paying for System Center Endpoint Protection."
"It is quite cost-effective. I would rate it ten out of ten."
"Pricing is a big issue."
"The pricing and licensing of the security solutions of Cisco are very good in comparison with the competitors, but sometimes, it's difficult to see all the discounts and other kinds of things. So, you have to be careful, but the pricing is good."
"The solution's price is about the same as that of Palo Alto solutions."
"Whenever you are doing the licensing process, I would highly advise to look at what other Cisco solutions you have in your organization, then evaluate if an Enterprise Agreement is the best way to go. In our case, it was the best way to go. Since we had so many other Cisco products, we were able to tie those in. We were actually able to get several Cisco security solutions for less than if we had bought three or four Cisco security solutions independently or ad hoc."
"The pricing and licensing fees are okay."
