Remote access has transformed my hybrid work and now provides secure, fast connections anywhere
The best feature of Check Point Remote Access VPN is the easy connectivity. I just have to enter the gateway and the username and password, then click on connect and it will be connected to my organization network. The process is very straightforward and the remote control is outstanding with great connectivity. The remote control feature makes my work easier because there is no latency I am experiencing while accessing from a remote site. I mainly access two to three servers at a time, and I have not seen any lag or latency through Check Point Remote Access VPN. That is outstanding about Check Point Remote Access VPN solution. Check Point Remote Access VPN has positively impacted my organization because productivity has increased.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"After deploying Check Point Remote Access VPN solution, I can say that our productivity has maximized; users are working from home and even working 24/7, and if they want, they can access our resources at any time, providing flexibility to work from anywhere."
"The VPN hides your IP address and encrypts your online traffic and it essentially ensures that your fingerprints cannot be traced on the Internet."
"The management of the solution is very simple. It allows for a single view of all the endpoints."
"A clear example of the positive impact this license has had in my organization was back in 2020, as the software was in use since before the pandemic hit so our personnel was familiarized with the product and the transition was smooth and secure from the office to work from home."
"Currently, Check Point is an ally that we have used within our organization to protect the perimeter area, the equipment, and other technologies."
"Previously, we had around 15 corporate clients; through the COVID-19 pandemic, we have managed to grow and now have around 35 new corporate clients and more than 6,000 people connected by VPN, which has forced us to increase our infrastructure to support all these connections and have a stable, reliable, and, above all, scalable solution that can interconnect more clients."
"Technical support has been excellent."
"The solution offers high scalability as far as adding more users."
"The solution is easy to use and has a straightforward user interface."

Cons

"The product’s architecture is a bit distributed."
"The configuration of Check Point Remote Access VPN could be simplified so that there will be no complex steps to configure it and maintain it."
"The authentication that we handle is through a .p12 certificate, however, we have integrated it with a 2MFA service through another provider. Something that could improve Check Point is if it had its own 2MFA service through a blade or some sort of application."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN's enterprise support could be improved."
"We tried using their authenticator at first, but that is not good."
"I would like the support to be faster."
"In the case of URL translation of the VPN Web portal, the requests made from the front end to the back end weren't valid (due to the use of dynamic subdomains). In the case of host translations, the request was made to the same host, however, we cannot specify the ports, which, in our case, are used to redirect to different servers."
"The main area for improvement is pricing. Another area could be integrating MFA authentication directly into the solution instead of using separate benchmark tools for implementation."
"The design of the user interface could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"My understanding is that the pricing and licensing are very competitive, and it's not one of their more expensive products. We buy licenses for the solution and have licenses for the endpoint servers."
"I give the price of the solution a five out of ten."
"My company makes yearly payments only towards the licensing costs attached to Check Point Remote Access VPN, as there are no extra costs attached to the product."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN is not expensive and the cost is annual."
"The product is expensive. I rate its pricing a ten out of ten. For the cost of one product, we could purchase two or three Fortinet solutions with the same amount of money."
"I can say that the licensing costs are charged annually."
"There is a license required for this solution."
"Organizations that already have the Check Point NGFW need to purchase an additional license to have access to the VPN functionality."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is expensive and ten is cheap, I rate the solution's pricing an eight out of ten."
