Unified infrastructure has simplified virtual workloads and improved time-saving operations
Improvements for HyperFlex could include making it more reliable or easier to use, as sometimes new, less experienced people struggle to use it. When explaining keys and features, they do not easily understand. The performance also needs a slight increase by integrating compute, storage, or networking into a single optimized system. The product needs to improve scalability and reliability, with the most important aim being to reduce complexity. While the costing is good, reducing the infrastructure cost would be better. Regarding the accuracy of Cisco Compute Hyperconverged's AI capabilities, I would not say it is 100%, but it is good, with results of almost 85%. It needs some improvement, but at least 90 to 92% would be more helpful for us.

Has provided mature containerization support and responsive assistance while meeting diverse customer needs
Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure can be improved primarily because the biggest problem in Sri Lanka is its high price compared to other solutions. Feature-wise, it's very mature for the containerization side, but the price point is an issue. I would like to see more features related to disaster recovery and continuity in Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure, specifically disaster recovery, disaster recovery sites, and business continuity.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"When we started using Cisco Compute Hyperconverged, we observed a striking reduction in operational complexity and rapid virtualization cost optimizations, along with dramatic hardware and environmental consolidation, which are the main features we have observed since we started using it."
"Cisco Compute Hyperconverged has positively impacted my organization by providing automatic failover and diversity of the failover which has helped us greatly in disaster recovery."
"Cisco Compute Hyperconverged benefits our organization by simplifying infrastructure, combining compute, storage, and networking on one platform."
"We see value for money in this solution."
"Regarding Cisco Compute Hyperconverged's data protection capabilities in terms of business continuity and protection, I would rate them as a nine, as there are no concerns concerning protection."
"Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure is an open-sourced, low-cost solution with full features."
"I like that you can add other types of services."
"The stability of the solution is good; we haven't experienced any bugs or glitches and we've been satisfied so far."
"Utilizing Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure's software-defined storage helps increase data consistency for specific use cases, aligning with customer requirements, depending on which type of data we are storing."
"It is stable and scalable."
"The consolidation of the management in one control point is the most valuable, as the whole infrastructure management is consolidated in just one console point and the documentation is also pretty good."
"Their technical support is amazing in general."
"The size of the hardware is what we need because it is very good for small configurations."

Cons

"Cisco Compute Hyperconverged is good already, but something that still has potential to improve would be the performance. Performance-wise it is good, but the negative aspect is the troubleshooting, as it takes too much time to resolve issues."
"Initially, Cisco Compute Hyperconverged was not stable, but we have gotten it to that stage; I previously mentioned the blade chassis and a number of blades failing, as well as some cards being dead on arrival when the equipment initially came."
"While Cisco Compute Hyperconverged with Nutanix is highly regarded for its performance and cloud-like simplicity for real-world deployment, one area for improvement could be high entry and renewal pricing."
"Regarding the stability rating, it should be around seven because the support from Cisco is nice, but the performance of the product does not meet our preferences."
"Improvements for HyperFlex could include making it more reliable or easier to use, as sometimes new, less experienced people struggle to use it."
"It is not user-friendly, and it is very difficult to operate. You have to have a deep understanding of the technical details of the infrastructure to implement it. When you compare it with VMware, it is totally different because the graphical user interface is not that easy to understand. It is not intuitive. To use it, you have to read a lot of documentation and even understand what is going on behind the solution. It is not for someone who has a little bit of knowledge. Currently, it is too complex. I need something that is easy to implement. It should have a basic configuration as well as a complex configuration."
"Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure can be improved primarily because the biggest problem in Sri Lanka is its high price compared to other solutions."
"The licensing policy needs to be improved. They have a licensing policy based on the number of CPU sockets."
"The cloud deployment could be improved."
"This product is not so stable. Maybe it is just not mature enough in its development."
"It is not user-friendly, and it is very difficult to operate."
"It should be more user-friendly, in my opinion."
"The main issue is the initial investment. It is an expensive product, and it should be cheaper. It should also be easier to use and manage. The professional service for this solution is quite complex and expensive."
