Round-the-clock monitoring has freed our small team and improves our threat response focus
In terms of improvement for CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, they just keep going full steam ahead. The biggest room for a house is the room for improvement, but as of right now, I don't have any complaints about CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR. Additional features that should be included in the next release of CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR would be on-demand scanning. That is something we have to do manually. For instance, if a user plugs in a USB device, even though in our environment we have USB devices locked completely, CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR will still read those devices even though they can't physically access them. If it does find malicious software, those are manually done still, and that's per the SLA. I have had a few of those that have come up, but those have been few and far between.

Proactive threat hunting has strengthened our defenses and provides expert support for incidents
Proactive threat hunting as well as the Ask an Expert feature, which is a button inside of the XDR portal that becomes available when the customer owns Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting, are the best features it offers. If a customer or one of our analysts needs extra support or has a question about a Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting notification, they can click on that button and chat directly with a Microsoft security analyst to get more information or fill in any gaps regarding the Ask an Expert feature. Improved detection rates are one of the specific outcomes that show the positive impact because Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting is a second set of eyes or a second team looking for emerging threats within a shared customer's environment. For us, the proactive approach that Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting is always running is valuable, and we see those alerts pop up inside of our incident queues in Microsoft Sentinel and we respond and acknowledge them. In many cases, Microsoft might see an alert from a zero-day that we aren't even aware of yet or the industry isn't aware of yet and we see that tagged within our incident queue, which allows us to follow up with it much sooner than had we had to search and detect for it ourselves. Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting helps my customers detect or prevent emerging threats that are not yet published but Microsoft has visibility into. Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting's reporting and analytics are clear and actionable, and the fact that it's tied to the MITRE framework puts it all in a common language. Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting helps my customers comply with industry regulations or standards, though I am unsure how, but many have requirements for threat hunting and this checks that box. Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting helps my team respond to incidents by providing a backstop, which does speed up the process and improve outcomes.

Pros

"It is very easy to manage the licenses centrally because these are cloud licenses. There is no need for manual data reports."
"As an end-point solution, nothing beats it, to be honest."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the real-time visibility into what is happening in your endpoint."
"The main valuable features are feasibility, ease of deployment, and that it's all based in the cloud. I like that it is gradually updated and that the detection rate is higher than that of other endpoint solutions. There are fewer loopholes."
"CrowdStrike is one of the top two EDRs on the market; since the solution is lightweight, it is able to offer a lot of features and provide you with strong protection against different attacks."
"The prevention capabilities hold the utmost value."
"Two of the most valuable features of CrowdStrike Falcon Complete are the remote terminal and unlimited IoCs."
"The overwatch module is the most valuable feature of CrowdStrike Falcon."
"The solution helps to detect some suspicious items for us and our clients."
"Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting helps my customers detect or prevent emerging threats that are not yet published but Microsoft has visibility into."
"The best feature of this solution is that it is an integrated and comprehensive solution for the entire Microsoft ecosystem."
"Easy to use is what my customers say is the biggest benefit of Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting for them."
"What really stands out about Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting is that it's easy to use, the cost is clear, and the pricing is transparent, with straightforward onboarding in hybrid, cloud, or on-premise environments."

Cons

"The licensing is a bit complex."
"My experience with pricing, setup costs, and licensing has been challenging."
"People should be able to obtain training at any point of the engagement so that if somebody who doesn't have the basic knowledge is getting thrown into it, they are able to get trained, and CrowdStrike is able to help them out."
"What could be improved in CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is the threat hunting feature and the insights it provides, in particular, the variable analysis feature. Protection against zero-day threats and sandboxing could also be improved in CrowdStrike Falcon Complete. If you compare it with other solutions, it can go head-to-head, but the features I mentioned still need improvement."
"There have been some issues with Falcon Complete's performance."
"In a future release, it would be ideal if they could add reporting and action histories to their suite of features."
"I think the overall user experience for the operations team could be improved. The dashboard could be more effective, like Microsoft Defender. Microsoft worked on refining the user experience. The security monitoring tools could be simpler and more user-friendly. Integration with the application layer might be another area for improvement."
"CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR can be improved by working on their ability to provide file integrity monitoring a little bit better and across more platforms, but outside of the FIM, they are pretty solid."
"The solution’s user interface could be improved."
"We tried the proactive threat hunting feature, but it was not a good experience with Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting. It created more trouble than expected with false positives and non-expected answers."
"There is a lot of change in a small period. This might not be helpful for IT administrators and users."
"The price of the solution is costly, which I find significant."
"As a partner, Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting could be improved by getting earlier threat detection signals so we could proactively research on our own end and help support a campaign to raise awareness as well as proactive response."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's expensive. Its price varies because it's a modular solution."
"The price is okay, although you're not going to get away cheap when it comes to security."
"At approximately €60 per machine, per year, I think that it's a good price point."
"CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is expensive."
"While CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is expensive, it offers great features and functionality."
"The pricing is a little bit higher than other OEM competitors in the market, like SentinelOne and Trend Micro."
"We have a yearly license, and it could be cheaper."
"The average price is approximately $500 per customer."
