Structured workflows have improved SLA compliance and now support prioritized incident handling
I think the licensing and pricing of ServiceNow is quite expensive compared to other tools. For large organizations, it is acceptable, but specifically for small and medium organizations to track incidents or change requests, ServiceNow is quite expensive. Sometimes performance can be slow when workflows and integrations are configured for complex tasks. For advanced customizations or advanced features which we rarely use, the documentation is not up to standard. The documentation needs to be improved for advanced customization features. However, the platform is stable overall and the features are quite good. The user experience and performance concerns I mentioned are areas I want to be improved. When many workflows and interactions are configured, performance is slow. For the features it is providing, it is quite expensive. If these performance features are improved, we can easily pay that price and get the return on investment.

Pros

"Scenarios, since is a really easy way to create and control your test cases."
"Integration with automation frameworks, keywords, and tags allows for saving time writing test cases and implementing automation."
"Hiptest is a great test management tool for agile teams."
"CucumberStudio has a very user-friendly interface."
"The most valuable feature is the re-usability of action words."
"The data table that helps in converting a single script to multiple test cases is very helpful."
"The solution is stable."
"Hiptest allowed us to clean up our test campaigns and standardize the way we write test cases and structure our BDD approach."
"The ease of implementing the operational processes gives my clients the ability to streamline their day-to-day operations quickly, and allows huge visibility for managers and decision makers."
"SPM and ITSM features are the most helpful."
"It's great to do statuses or to review tasks."
"Other solutions are integrated with different applications and tools, but ServiceNow is quite centralized, fully managed, and you can find everything in one place."
"I have found the workflows and integration the most valuable in this solution."
"The area where we have benefited a lot is that, initially, it was very difficult to have end-to-end visibility into what was happening, and we were able to establish that with ServiceNow."
"ServiceNow is one of the few easiest platforms you can integrate with products like Ansible to automate your workflows."
"The solution helps us to collaborate and it's great that it is knowledge-based."

Cons

"More tutorials and examples."
"The reporting aspect can be improved."
"The reporting and metrics can be improved. E.g.: If we wanted to have metrics across all projects."
"The reporting needs to be improved."
"Copy-pasting something directly from JIRA requires too much modification and formatting."
"Yes, it is not stable when you create a data table that includes more than 30 elements, so it can lose your data."
"A key area for improvement is to revamp outdated components such as HipTest publisher."
"I would like to see better customer support."
"We've been through about four different vendors over the three and a half years. Some of that code has been problematic for us."
"Some of the things which I've seen that they're improving now, it was the UI. It was a pretty basic UI which needed improvement."
"We did some custom branding and it was a nightmare."
"I think some of the areas for improvement are some of the features that get added sometimes and not a lot of help and resources get devoted to them."
"Also, some of the way that the patches would break the catalog and the catalog items would cause unnecessary changes to the layout in the UI."
"With ServiceNow, you have to do a lot of manipulation ahead of time to get to what that end state is."
"I don't think it's very secure, and it's web-based, and Remedy is really the standard that it's judged against."
"The setup wasn't as straightforward or easy as it should have been."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The product cost is higher than that of other vendors."
"I rate the solution's pricing a six out of ten. The pricing for ServiceNow is based on a SaaS platform with annual contracts. However, it may not offer much flexibility for adjusting usage in the short term."
"Getting the solution up and running is expensive."
"I'm not aware of any additional costs. I'm pretty sure that the current client is paying just the licensing fee per user. I do know that they've got some support agreement with ServiceNow, but I don't think that is broken out or specific to Project Management. It is just inclusive."
"We know that ServiceNow is not cheap, it's more expensive than other solutions. But we are trying to increase our ability to handle tickets so that the cost per ticket is less."
"$230 per user."
"It has a higher cost compared to local/regional solutions."
"I am from Brazil. For Latin American markets, ServiceNow is very expensive as compared to other vendors, such as VMware."
