Proactive dark web intelligence has reduced breach impact and protects organizations quietly
Cybersixgill has one of the largest data lakes around. I think the way they can be improved is to be able to initially during the onboarding, make sure that the false positives are correctly addressed to really do the tweaks that need to be done to filter through exactly what the organization is trying to accomplish and give them the outcomes they are looking for without all the extra noise or chatter. I just think during the onboarding, that is the most crucial part to make sure that the organizations who purchase Cybersixgill ensure that they actually have the right person or persons to go through the onboarding to make sure that the data lake feeds can be properly set up and organized so it can filter through the noise and the chatter.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Cybersixgill has positively impacted our organization significantly because it helps us by providing leaked information in case a client is being attacked."
"If I conducted research manually it would take one week, but by using Sixgill it takes two hours or three hours."
"The advanced analysis has made our security operations more efficient. It has also potentially given us quicker access to data that we might not have otherwise located."
"If you are looking for threat intelligence that can cater to various needs from IOC to threat advisories and along with dark web intelligence, then you should try Cybersixgill."
"Cybersixgill has positively impacted many organizations by being able to quickly identify what attack is taking place."
"Rather than hiring more analysts, we have been able to do more with less and automate some of our investigation functions."
"The solution’s approach of using limited open source intelligence and focusing, instead, on the Deep Web and Dark Web is what seals the deal. That is why I like them. I have other tools that I can aggregate all the open source intelligence from. I value Cybersixgill because it provides access to things that no one else does."
"I have been very vocal about how much this tool has helped."
"Threat Intelligence is very stable."
"The tool's most valuable feature is the sandbox."
"The cost of the solution versus the cost of an incident that may have been prevented with it shows a very high ROI."
"We have found the site intelligence features to be the most valuable."
"Threat Intelligence's best feature is threat activation."
"The most valuable Group-IB Threat Intelligence features are their detections, especially in terms of account and card information leakage. This data sets Group-IB apart from some of the competition."
"The totality of the recordings is quite important. The networks, the new threat actors, the new methods, tactics, techniques, and procedures."

Cons

"The breadth of access to data is good, but there are gaps."
"Sixgill has strong capabilities based on search queries, but there is some difficulty in using Sixgill. Their querying is very powerful but it can be difficult. It's not hugely complex but you need some skill to use Sixgill querying."
"I want to highlight that sometimes Cybersixgill retrieves leak information from the past two years, which can be very irrelevant to the client."
"We need real-time updated information. If we could have this, it would be amazing."
"The breadth of access to data is good, but there are gaps. More data would be my suggestion because the platform is good and I have no complaints about the system. I think it is just a case of always trying to get more data sources."
"I think the way they can be improved is to be able to initially during the onboarding, make sure that the false positives are correctly addressed to really do the tweaks that need to be done to filter through exactly what the organization is trying to accomplish and give them the outcomes they are looking for without all the extra noise or chatter."
"Regarding their scraping abilities, things could be solidified. There are definitely improvements that could be made on the specificity for setting certain queries."
"We need real-time updated information. If we could have this, it would be amazing. For example, if someone was posting something, then ten second later, it was on the platform. Sometimes, it takes a minute or hours right now, depending on the forum."
"The lack of appliance-based or on-premise options for this solution is its biggest downfall. Clients request them often."
"The web intelligence could be improved. It is not as good as the intelligence from other solutions."
"As the landscape evolves, they could provide a little more detail or specificity to map it to the MITRE ATT&CK framework."
"Threat Intelligence's OT security could be improved."
"Group-IB Threat Intelligence should improve integration for SIEM and SOAR solutions."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing and licensing are good. It is expensive for us because the US dollar is quite strong compared to our dollar. Otherwise, it is quite reasonable for what it is. All the tools in the market are around the same price from my experience."
"The pricing is cheap compared with Recorded Future. Sixgill's cost-effectiveness is very good."
"Sometimes, Cybersixgill Investigative Portal is cheaper than its competitors."
"Threat Intelligence is costly, but it gives value for money."
"Group-IB Threat Intelligence's pricing is reasonable."
"The pricing is alright. It's right on the mark."
