Efficient and intuitive experience facilitates global sales collaboration and optimizes user engagement
Beyond what Dynamics 365 Sales currently provides, any improvement would require a combination of processes, changes, and user behavior modifications on our side coupled with the product. The product has launched numerous features, including AI capabilities, though I haven't found use for many of them. Reducing feature bloat would be beneficial, especially considering different organizational needs. In a federated B2B company, CRM usage is limited to fundamental fields. Performance improvements, such as reducing field loading time from three seconds to one second, don't significantly impact average users. In our B2B organization, which consists of numerous companies each generating several million dollars in revenue, teams only need 5-10 strong features. Additional features are primarily useful for central sales revenue operations teams handling reports and analysis. For average users in a B2B services organization, the current feature set is sufficient. Over the last few months, we have received many AI features and co-pilot integration into Teams. However, additional CRM features are not necessary for our usage.

Integration capabilities facilitate efficient data management and enhance customer service, but the analytics requires improvement
The analytics capabilities in Siebel CRM have presented numerous challenges. Due to these challenges, we had to integrate Microsoft Power BI. The CRM analytics was not sufficient for our needs, given that we have four million customers and a thousand products. We are currently focusing on the upgrade and discussing with Oracle. If there have been improvements in the analytics side over the past few years, we are open to evaluating them. Currently, all analytics are being done on Power BI. The data is exported to our data lake, and Power BI is being used for all reporting and analytics. Even our customer 360, which is the core of any CRM, has Power BI widgets built-in through iframe because we could not accomplish this through Siebel CRM. The analytics component has been the main pain point for our organization, particularly due to processing time and performance with our large customer base.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"What makes Dynamics 365 Sales interesting is the new AI capabilities through CoPilot, which can help write in NLP and look through what's happening on the opportunities without getting into the details."
"It allows effective management of the follow-ups of leads and potential opportunities."
"Dynamics 365 Sales is a stable solution with good documentation."
"SAP was very complicated, while Dynamics 365 Sales became simple for senior leaders to use, reducing time spent from 2-3 hours per week in SAP to 15-20 minutes in Microsoft Dynamics when done properly."
"The most valuable features of Dynamics 365 Sales for us are the standard functional power platform applications for business processes."
"The AI provides insights about the customer."
"Dynamics 365 Sales offers robust integration capabilities with third-party tools, complemented by our in-house developed applications. We've tailored our pricing within Dynamics 365 to suit our specific needs, collaborating closely with our teams for its development. Leveraging Azure and Microsoft Office 365 integration, Dynamics 365 becomes even more powerful."
"Dynamics 365 Sales has a sales feature that is easy to use. It is easy to understand and use."
"We moved from an excel sheet to Siebel so it did help us initially in digitizing CRM related business processes and was positioned as single source of truth for CRM."
"The flexibility is very good."
"The solution is scalable."
"The tool's complaint management feature is very good. We used a CRM before, which lacked the integrations, so complaints had to be handled manually. With Siebel CRM, we have better integrations and can resolve complaints with a few clicks. When you're in the service industry, tasks matter a lot, especially when you have to access multiple systems to address issues. Being a bank, we currently have around 17 operational systems. It's not feasible to expect users to access them individually to make the necessary changes."
"It is a stable solution, but because it is an on-premises one, we have slow response rates at times."
"Siebel CRM is the number one CRM product in the world."
"Siebel CRM has enhanced customer engagement for our organization, particularly through its robust data model and flexible features. One specific scenario where Siebel CRM excelled was in addressing complex client requirements. For instance, we successfully implemented a module for email responses, a feature that was not readily available or as robust as other CRM tools. Additionally, Siebel's open UI module allowed us to customize the user interface for one of our clients completely. This customization proved to be a major selling point for our company."
"The best thing about the tool is its data model. The underlying data model refers to how the data is stored in databases. We can also experience the ease of developing anything with the tool. We can customize any functionality as per any business challenge."

Cons

"However, having more dashboards and customizable templates, specifically tailored for sales in Dynamics 365, would enhance its usability even further. Being able to create custom dashboards would be particularly beneficial."
"The product's pricing needs improvement."
"There's room for improvement in the pricing models."
"At the start of the project, we made this mistake by relying on Power Automate. We discovered latency issues and problems related to the limits exist."
"Reducing feature bloat would be beneficial, especially considering different organizational needs."
"An area for improvement is the integration with WhatsApp. Currently, it is available only through a third party, which incurs additional costs."
"Making it more budget-friendly would be beneficial."
"It's very structured, and the out-of-the-box functionality is very limited, meaning you have to do a lot of customizations."
"The problem with Siebel is that everything is customizable in it. It's probably over-engineered, which makes it difficult to use, and it makes it difficult for the users to get started with the system."
"The user interface could be more intuitive and modern. The Oracle Siebel documentation contains many links, and finding specific information takes time."
"The backend performance of Siebel could be improved as it is often slow. In addition, the Open UI is not that responsive."
"Currently, Siebel CRM is not helping the agent provide faster feedback to the customer."
"The analytics component has been the main pain point for our organization, particularly due to processing time and performance with our large customer base."
"The tool took a lot of time to deploy."
"Server may response very slowly if effective load balancing is not done."
"However, there are areas that this product has not evolved at par with global industry trends, including the UX/UI and cloud capabilities."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is challenging, which is particularly relevant for countries like Pakistan and others with limited budgets."
"The cost of the solution is very similar to that of other solutions like Salesforce CRM."
"The platform is expensive."
"Dynamics 365 Sales' pricing is in the middle. It's not expensive like SAP and Oracle."
"This solution is expensive compared to other solutions in the market. This makes it difficult to convince our customers to use it. The customers who are already using Siebel have thought about moving to Velocity or Salesforce."
"Its licensing is yearly."
"I think the tool’s pricing is exaggerated. Once you do the price sizing as per your business needs, you would find that the price of other solutions like Zoho CRM, HubSpot CRM, Salesforce CRM, etc. would be always the same."
"The product is expensive."
"The price of Siebel CRM depends on the usage of the business requirement. For large enterprises the price it's very good but if you are using it for medium scale enterprises, the price is very expensive."
