Emergency alerts have protected employees and are improving leadership response during crises
I do not believe there is much improvement that can be made; Everbridge is the best in my opinion, as they constantly seek client feedback through account managers, working groups, and a community portal for clients to share lessons learned, ask questions, and provide feedback, enabling rapid and real-time responses to client inquiries and challenges. My wish-list feature for Everbridge Mass Notification is to have one mobile app for all Everbridge members, where both recipients of messages and those who send messages use the same mobile app managed together. There are no additional improvements needed for Everbridge Mass Notification that I have not mentioned.

Allows for a systematic and uniform method of alerting personnel in every location, but the user interface is too complicated
Emergency alerting for a global company in 14 countries It allows for a systematic and uniform method of alerting personnel in every location. It has the same general functions as most emergency alerting systems. The placeholder dropdowns for message templates are useful. The user interface is…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Everbridge Mass Notification has positively impacted my organization as it is the best way to notify and give information to all employees in case of an issue, which is a super value for my organization."
"We like the ability to integrate geolocation data from our HR system that tells us where teammates work or live. That information helps us calibrate the notification. If we know a storm or a tornado will hit a specific area, we can look at the map view within Everbridge. The feature is called the Universe View, and it's a section of the tool that lets us notify those folks based on the location data we have for them."
"Everbridge can break up our organization into groups for sending targeted notifications. That's probably the feature I find most helpful. Tornadoes are a huge issue here in Oklahoma, and our campuses are about 30 miles apart. Using this feature, I can send tornado warnings to the campus that's in immediate danger."
"Everbridge is a dynamic tool that integrates well with our other systems. We can trigger messages from one platform to multiple places. The messages are sent to campus TVs and our website. We've been able to connect it through a lot of different options."
"One of the most valuable features is that we can select specific users to whom we want to message by area. We can draw on the map within the interface and send a message to all our subscribers within that area, ensuring relevant and targeted alerting. This prevents us from disturbing all of our subscribers with messages that aren't relevant to them."
"For my client's purposes at the time, Everbridge Mass Notification worked perfectly."
"In my opinion, the best features Everbridge Mass Notification offers are valuable for high-volume enterprise recruiting, such as at Uber ATG, which is a sub-unit of Uber."
"Everbridge Mass Notification has impacted my organization positively because it streamlines report writing and helps quicken our response times."
"The placeholder dropdowns for message templates are useful."
"It allows for a systematic and uniform method of alerting personnel in every location."

Cons

"I do not know that any technology, including Everbridge Mass Notification, is going to be a perfect ten under the vast majority of circumstances."
"Everbridge Mass Notification can be improved by allowing more flexibility in template writing in VCC."
"There are a few quirks in the interface that drive me nuts. It seems trivial, but when you have thousands of records, you want to see more than 25 results per page. I have to change the settings for results per page each time I switch between one of our 17 institutions. It's a bit irritating to do that 17 times in an hour. I should be able to change that default setting and permanently store it. They also changed the search query to search by phone instead of name. Who looks for somebody using a phone number? It's just kind of little silly things that I don't think they're using in a large-scale environment like I am."
"I think Everbridge Mass Notification can be improved as the interface was very crowded and almost noisy, where it seemed outdated compared to ATS systems today such as Ashby and Greenhouse."
"Everbridge can send out conference bridge meetings, but as nobody uses conference calls anymore, we would love to be able to generate Zoom links through the solution. That would be extremely helpful."
"One place where Everbridge can be improved is its language libraries. It is weak on languages."
"We have some issues regarding the template layout; we have about 80 templates and must scroll through a long list to find the one we want. It would be good to see subcategories or the ability to filter through the templates somehow."
"Reporting is something Everbridge should improve. It's pretty weak. The tool has some reports, but you often need to go down to the Excel level and do it yourself. It would help if the solution had more robust in-app reporting tools and technology that offer an analysis of what you've sent out and some more details."
"The user interface is too complicated and aspects that should be offered, such as email subject line editing, are not."
"Conference calling requires a complicated syntax formula."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Everbridge is a little pricey for what it offers. It's a bit overpriced from that standpoint. I'm aware of another company called AlertMedia that has a little more competitive pricing than Everbridge."
"We changed plans halfway through our engagement with Everbridge. It was one of those things where I liked the original license agreement a little better, but I understand the model they went to. They shifted to a consumption-based model, which isn't ideal. It has limited my use of the platform to some degree, but I get it. I understand where they're coming from."
"We recently renewed our contract, and the pricing is on the higher end. We have a yearly license with a three-year commitment, which seems standard, so we have no issues with that."
"The product's pricing is the most competitive of the three solutions we evaluated. One feature we have yet to use is the keyword opt-in functionality, which Everbridge included in the price. In contrast, Rave Alert wanted to charge us extra."
"Considering what the product offers, the price is fairly reasonable."
"The product is fairly priced."
