Centralized device management has automated onboarding and improves remote security compliance
One thing I feel Microsoft Intune could improve is troubleshooting visibility. In many cases, when a policy or application deployment fails, the error messages are a bit generic. So, admins still spend time checking logs manually or testing on devices one by one. Compared to the simplicity of deployment, troubleshooting sometimes feels less mature. I also think reporting and real-time monitoring could be stronger. The dashboard gives useful information, but in large environments, many teams still depend on additional tools or scripts for deeper reporting and analytics. If I had to focus on one area first, I would probably choose troubleshooting and reporting. Deployment through Microsoft Intune is generally straightforward, but when something fails, identifying the exact root cause can still take more time than expected. Error messages are sometimes too generic, and admins often have to dig through logs, sync status, or multiple portals to understand what actually happened. I think user experience and policy management could also improve further. Microsoft Intune has become much better over the years, but sometimes the admin portal still feels fragmented because certain configurations open in different sections or redirect to older interfaces. For new admins, especially, it can take time to understand where everything is located. Another thing is policy conflict handling. In larger organizations, multiple device policies, compliance rules, and configuration profiles can overlap. When conflicts happen, the visibility is not always very clear, so admins spend time figuring out which policy actually won or caused the issue.

Allows us to revert to an optimal system state. I would like to see a faster Google Drive Sync.
* Deep Freeze: Ensures that I can maintain a baseline of an optimal system state where performance and system security are guaranteed. No matter how long a computer is in use, it will always revert to that same condition. * Data Igloo: Has been an important feature for me because on a frozen computer, the user's files and folders would have been redirected to the ThawSpace, thereby avoiding data loss upon a system restart. Users no longer have to worry when saving their files naturally to the Documents, Pictures, Music, Video, or Downloads folders or when manually saving their files to other locations. Data Igloo has been configured to handle all that.

Automated onboarding has saved hundreds of hours and now standardizes device security globally
In terms of how Ivanti Neurons for UEM can be improved, I think there's potential for automation of some repetitive tasks. The device provisioning process has already become very close to zero-touch, but the patch deployment is still scheduled and policy-driven. As a result, I believe we can reduce endpoint administration further. I also think the number of integrations and the scalability of the tool can be improved, along with customer service, as we've encountered some issues in certain countries. Regarding the needed improvements, particularly concerning integrations or customer service challenges, we have had problems with integration with some third-party tools requiring additional configuration and testing. Occasionally, we also experienced delays between systems, particularly with user group changes and device compliance updates. The accuracy and reliability of output from Ivanti's AI can be improved. We notice that the AI-driven insights are useful, but there are anomalies and some false positives. Since we are still in a validation period, I cannot provide a definitive mark, but I believe that accuracy should be enhanced, especially for more complex and environment-specific issues where human intervention is still needed.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"One of the biggest advantages of Microsoft Intune is not only the management itself, but also how well it integrates with other Microsoft technologies."
"Intune makes it possible for us to reach all the endpoints and have them protected at all times."
"One of the most valuable aspects of Microsoft Intune is its seamless integration with Azure Active Directory, offering capabilities akin to Group Policy Objects."
"The ability to wipe data from and reset devices is one of the most important and valuable features. If a device is reported stolen, we can freeze it or wipe the data from it, preventing data leakage."
"There are no complaints about the stability. It works one hundred percent of the time."
"We have one MDM that works with Windows, iOS, and Android."
"This product offers an alternative solution to other UEM (Unified Endpoint Management) solutions."
"Microsoft Intune is the best solution available; we can connect with any device and handle all queries, which sets it apart from other tools available in the market."
"The technical support is excellent, as they are persistent and thorough with their investigations, extremely polite and patient, and they keep me regularly updated on progress and tentative resolution schedules."
"The solution is good, it's effective in what it is able to achieve and it's easy to use."
"The security features in Ivanti Neurons for MDM are very effective, which is why we have been distributing it for the past 15 years."
"Ivanti's unified platform for IT and security operations helps streamline processes, especially because the manual intervention of having to constantly monitor, update, and maintain endpoints and applications has significantly reduced by leveraging Ivanti Neurons for UEM."
"We can set a maintenance window and push the patch."
"Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management has positively impacted my organization because I used this tool in my previous project, and it is useful for security purposes."
"The best features Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management offers are the integration it provides with our Apple Business Manager."
"This product helps us to create a streamlined process and it is working as expected."
"The company provides great customer service."

Cons

"In Microsoft Intune, error messages are an area that has room for improvement. Regarding error messages, I would like to see more detailed logs added."
"There could be more wizard-driven policy development or creation. Some of the policies can get quite complex. If they have a wizard that assists the administrators in creating the policy, that will be a great job."
"I rate Microsoft support between six to eight. The support often involves third parties hired by Microsoft who are knowledgeable, but sometimes the help I receive is not adequate."
"Setting up Intune Autopilot can be a little complicated."
"Microsoft Intune needs to improve the initial login process."
"There are items that require improvements. One is the controls from iOS."
"Sometimes, it takes time to synchronize the policies between the portal and the devices, you don't have a way to estimate how long it will take to deploy. You have some kind of gray area, where it can deploy in 30 minutes or three days."
"Microsoft Intune could improve its reporting depth and make some policy configurations less complex, especially for hybrid environments."
"There were infinite reboot loops on some computers, especially during maintenance updates."
"Regarding how Ivanti Neurons for UEM can be improved, the dashboard can be quite complex for first-time users and even small-scale organizations."
"I tried to be a partner of Ivanti and, from this vantage point, the quotes are, perhaps, a bit high."
"Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management has not positively impacted my organization; we have unfortunately struggled with it for the past several years and we have continued to struggle with the platform even with trying to get help from the Ivanti side."
"Regarding Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management agent in general, it can seem somewhat laggy."
"I noticed one thing when comparing Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management with other software in the market, such as Cherwell, where we can see the rating of the person. In Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management, I feel the individual ratings and feedback feature is missing."
"The integration between the MobileIron and Advanced Neurons isn't completely in sync, and we're still working on that."
"In terms of improvements for Ivanti Neurons for UEM, the only challenge I face with EPM Endpoint Manager is in scanning network devices, as some devices appear without a serial number, which is an issue that takes more time since customers often require the serial number as a mandatory field."
"MobileIron UEM could improve the monitoring of devices."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Pricing can be improved."
"It's a bit expensive from a licensing perspective, especially as we look to have organizations with tenants across the globe."
"Intune is moderately expensive. You can get the license bundled with Office 365 E3 or E5 licenses. The E5s are a bit expensive, but you get some cheaper solutions with Intune."
"Any bundle package, such as Security E3, covers multiple things, such as AAP, BitLocker, etc. If you go for them individually, they would be more expensive. Bundling makes the price more attractive and competitive."
"I recently got to know that the AD P1 license is compulsory to use Intune Autopilot, which was surprising for me. Earlier, this was not the case. It is the wrong thing to do. We now need to purchase AD P1 licenses for us and for our customers. I would rate it a seven out of ten for pricing."
"If you ask the accountant or the finance department, they'll tell you that it is way too expensive, but when I look at the cost and compare it with the value you actually get, it's more than fair."
"We work in the charity sector, so a lot of our clients get Microsoft Premium licenses or Business Premium for free. They get ten licenses free, and a lot of our clients do not have more than ten staff members. They are getting the tool for free, so its cost is not an issue."
"Its licensing model is not complex, but it is very expensive compared to other solutions. They can bring more models and reduce the pricing. They should allow customers to select the features they want and price it accordingly."
Information not available
"For the one that works with SCCM, it is relatively inexpensive at $8 USD per node, yearly. The standalone product has two versions; the one that patches servers is about $45 USD annually and the version that patches workstations is about half that price at $22 USD."
"The license can get expensive if you have a lot of nodes."
"The solution is expensive compared to other products."
"The price of MobileIron UEM is very good."
"While the price is a bit high, it may be equitable with the features one gets with the product, such as that involving the interface."
"My impression is that MobileIron is very expensive."
"The solution is affordable."
