Customizable solution for housing media files and distributing resources as calls come in
I would rate this solution as nine out of ten. It does everything we want it to do, and it does it very well. It's very stable. It's complex in deploying and in troubleshooting, so it takes time to troubleshoot and isolate any issues. We chose Genesys because of the customization ability. It lets us be very granular in how we customize the solution with the features we want. We can fine-tune it to meet our exact needs. If we don't want something, we can turn it off so that it exists in the back end but nobody can use it. It's very customizable and user-friendly. My advice is to really understand what kind of customer and agent experience you're looking for. There are probably cheaper solutions that don't offer as much support from the vendor or the ability to customize. Depending on your needs, you might not need to customize very much.

Crowdsourced knowledge has grown into a trusted customer hub and now supports richer adoption journeys
One inconvenience is that because we are crowdsourced, we have hundreds of contributors every year, with most people only submitting one article, maybe two, so it does not make sense to pay for licenses for all of those people. This leads to some intermediary manual copy-paste processes because we just cannot have everybody working in the system itself, making it a little bit problematic for maintaining a source of truth. The main issues with NICE CXone are the lack of ability to integrate with some internal things that we want to do; it has to do with the way the system is designed, which is complex. We wanted to integrate with our internal system for instant translations, and we were not able to do that, along with a couple of other things that illustrate that it is kind of an isolated system to itself, making it pretty hard to tap into and grow even further. There are a couple of little issues with reporting that have not been very good, but really, the system is very functional.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"The resource managers and the MCPs that are deployed with this solution are the most valuable features."
"What I like most about Genesys Voice Platform is its stability. It's also easy to configure and a flexible and customizable product."
"Genesys Voice Platform is very stable; regardless of the price, it's going to do its job, your clients and customers are going to be happy when they call in, the platform is going to work, and that will result in better business for you."
"It's easier as a supervisor to do your job more efficiently. You can have multiple things open at once to watch everything, being able to take one look at a page and see everything you need rather then having to flip through multiple programs. This is such a time saver. I get a lot more done in my day due to being able to keep my opened programs down to a minimum."
"The initial setup of NICE CXone was straightforward and easy for our team, as the implementation team we worked with was very good at what they did."
"For me personally, NICE CXone has helped me manage my time and workflow better."
"A combination of these two elements yields positive impact, and we see metrics indicating self-servicing where calls are not getting escalated to agents, and feedback has improved significantly."
"If you are wondering if you or your company should use NICE inContact, I would suggest reaching out to them and asking for a demonstration."
"Being able to listen in on a call, which is exceptionally good with training."
"We have seen improvements in agent productivity, customer satisfaction, and reduced wait times, specifically an improvement in our CSAT scores and NPS scores, a reduction in cost per call, a decrease in average handle time, and utilization across the board has improved."
"The best features NICE CXone offers include integrations, flexibility, and a modern AI base that is built into the platform."

Cons

"Genesys Voice Platform needs to be available on a multicloud platform, and that's an area for improvement. Documentation for the product also needs improvement. It needs to be complete, and when you search on Google, for example, you can only find so many resources."
"This is primarily a large-market solution, so I would like it to be more compatible with mid-markets and with Genesys Cloud."
"Occasionally, the system runs slow and will kick us out of Max, which then has to be restarted, and can cause issues as our call center deals with time sensitive phone calls."
"Compared to challengers such as Zoom, which seem more cost-effective, NICE CXone's suite of products is very modular, so as they provide new services, you have to add to your existing package and this balloons your costs since there's an additional license needed to use the new tools."
"It could improve the quality of calls."
"There are times when the data does not load and you have to keep hitting refresh. More colors and different layouts should be included in the next release."
"With lots of screenshots to be replaced when we perform a service release, this is pretty tedious work."
"The audio quality in NICE CXone has room for improvement, as I experience issues like diffused calls and crackling audio."
"MindTouch would greatly benefit by providing a GitHub pull request functionality to foster draft mode and open contribution writing."
"I think that there is a bit of a delay in the accuracy and reliability of the output I see in NICE CXone, as I mentioned before."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"In terms of licensing, Genesys Voice Platform isn't open-source. Genesys has some resources available to the public, but as a product, Genesys Voice Platform requires a license. You need to register and pay for the training to gain access. I know that Genesys Voice Platform is an expensive solution, and it's more for large-scale companies."
"We had a custom setup that cost us some money."
