Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Structured workflows have improved ticket resolution and have prevented hardware losses
The two best features GLPI by Teclib offers are the inventory management and the help desk ticketing system. Having equipment history linked to user support tickets has made resolving issues much faster and easier. The inventory feature saves me time because I don't have to ask users for their equipment details as the specs are already in the system. With the ticketing system, having a full history of past uses allows us to solve repeat problems much faster without starting from scratch. The knowledge base feature is really useful for documenting solutions to common issues so team members don't have to troubleshoot the same problem twice. GLPI by Teclib has positively impacted my organization by bringing structure and clarity to our daily work. Before GLPI by Teclib, support requests were chaotic, but now everything is centralized. It has improved our response time, reduced user downtime, and helped us keep total control of our IT assets. The ticket resolution time is much faster now because we can easily track and prioritize incidents. We haven't lost any hardware since we started using GLPI by Teclib because everything is registered and assigned to a specific user.

Codeless with no customization required and excellent pricing
We have just displaced a ServiceNow installation, which is a major win. We have become partners with Halo and reduced our partnerships with other enterprise ITSM providers. We've actually become partners with Halo, and we've got rid of our partnership with Ivanti ITSM. It's a real market changer, for sure.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"When this technology first came to market, I thought it was about robotic things, which we cannot do, however, when I started to learn about Automation Anywhere, it's completely different; it's a user friendly tool with drag and drop commands and a person just needs technical, logical thinking."
"The cognitive automation gives us an edge towards intelligence using IQ Bot, and this allows us to integrate and give a combined solution to a customer."
"The solution has removed humans making errors while increasing our time savings, and we now have a lot more efficiencies in our process."
"Easy to access: Without the need to download and install software on a local machine, we can access the RPA application from virtually anywhere."
"By automating those processes we achieved high ROI, great customer satisfaction, better STP, reduced manual work, reduced processing time, high accuracy, and 24/7 working capacity with the AA bots."
"This is the right platform and choice, as every business needs to be at this pace and cannot ignore automation if you really want your company to get to the next level and be at par with competitors."
"Automation Anywhere's image reader is the most valuable feature."
"Our organization used to have a process which took five business days to do: our monthly pricing update. This was a very manual process. Our very first bot built was to automate this process. Now, the bot runs in the background every month and the process takes less than a day to run."
"In my opinion, the best features that GLPI by Teclib offers our organization are its speed, smoothness, user-friendliness, and intuitiveness."
"In terms of cost savings since switching to GLPI by Teclib, we probably reduced our IT support budget by about 50 percent."
"The product is very easy to deploy."
"GLPI by Teclib offers excellent asset management as one of its best features, while the ticketing system is adequate, and I need more detailed reporting."
"The best features GLPI by Teclib offers in my experience are its stability; I believe it is a very genuine technology because through my seven years working with GLPI by Teclib, everything has been stable."
"The most valuable features of GLPI are asset management, asset tracking, asset reporting, and ticket management. We use it as a configuration management database (CMDB), which is very useful for impact assessment and change management. The license management feature is also beneficial because it is bundled with asset management. When an agent reports a certain set into the database, all the software running on that host or server is assessed, collected, and reported. This makes license management very useful. Since implementing GLPI, we've noticed that our IT operations are more stable. The tool allows us to manage changes in the environment more effectively by creating change requests for assets. GLPI supports our processes, allowing us to organize IT operations with custom forms and workflows, making it quite flexible. Although the deployment is still in progress, we see significant benefits in organizing our IT processes with this tool."
"The best feature for me is the power of customization, allowing us to add extensions from each place of GLPI."
"After implementing the inventory with GLPI by Teclib, we were able to identify devices that were already obsolete in order to upgrade the machine or even sometimes replace it, leading to employees becoming more satisfied with their work tools and able to work better without the problems they sometimes had four or five times a day due to slowness, freezing, and other issues."
"The product’s UI is very good."
"The solution's initial setup process was quite straightforward... I rate the technical support a nine and a half out of ten."
"The most valuable aspect is that is is codeless."

Cons

"The Automation Anywhere community is less active than the UiPath community, which is a downside. When I ask questions in the Automation Anywhere community, responses take a longer time."
"In my opinion, there are always areas for improvement in Automation Anywhere, and they are continuously working on enhancements."
"For improvement, I would like to see Automation Anywhere integrating with multiple other technologies. As of now, it is integrating with .NET. When it come to future technologies, I want Automation Anywhere to integrate with Python scripts, and make the execution easier. That will be very helpful, having our cognitive technologies interacting with Automation Anywhere."
"My current and previous companies have had stability issues."
"Bots get disconnected from control rooms sometimes without any reason and this takes up a lot of time."
"I have found that Automation Anywhere is prone to bugs in handling Excel. It breaks and gives vague error messages. I have had a lot of experience with that and learned that it is better to write a Python script instead of using Automation Anywhere's package when dealing with Excel because it is buggy and tends to break, unfortunately."
"The platform has good capabilities, but it could improve by providing more development options."
"Automation Anywhere is not fully compatible with browsers other than Internet Explorer while working with web extraction."
"I've encountered some issues with GLPI. The official documentation on the GLPI website recommends using PHP version 8.3, but it used to recommend PHP version 8.2."
"A stringent plugin management would benefit GLPI. You can extend GLPI with many plugins, but plugin development is handled by individuals worldwide. Since it's an open-source solution, plugins are developed independently, and you never know which plugin is compatible with your version of GLPI. I would suggest that the developers focus more on plugin management to ensure plugins are more consistent and compatible with most versions of GLPI. Currently, you always have to check if a plugin works with your GLPI install, which can be inconvenient."
"One area for improvement is the occasional issues we encounter, which are not directly related to GLPI but are due to network providers. These include network errors like 502 and 504, indicating some failure in network communication with the server."
"Scalability is difficult with GLPI by Teclib because it focuses on inventory and requires more features."
"In my opinion, GLPI by Teclib could be improved by potentially integrating certain elements that are currently only available via plugins."
"For the free version, the tool should improve the graphics as it is kind of old school. The graphics are very flat compared to Google Workspace and Office 365."
"The stability of Windows OS could be enhanced."
"The UI of GLPI by Teclib is a bit old-fashioned, to be honest."
"There are no improvements needed. There is very little that HALO has not already built that is not on its roadmap."
"The solution's integration part needs to improve...In the future release of the solution, I expect to see certain changes in the programming of the solution. A customer of the solution should be able to customize it as per their need."
"The product does not have its own orchestration engine."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"My only suggestion in terms of pricing is very generic and that is to consider that as much as RPA saves cost and does automation, please get a realistic estimation done on whether you are really achieving any ROI over your investment with RPA."
"Automation Anywhere's pricing is significantly higher than other RPA solutions."
"The major reason that we selected Automation Anywhere was the licensing model."
"We are currently negotiating a contract. Depending upon that, we will definitely look at increasing usage."
"We have saved time and money using this solution."
"Price is where I'm least satisfied. Other vendors are more willing to offer discounts."
"I would like them to have better license management."
"It's fine. However, I'm concerned with the credits in terms of the pricing for the AI models. It is understandable that the new ones are more expensive, but the base models, after doing the pricing conversion, cost about four to ten times as much as paying directly."
"The solution's pricing is reasonable."
"I have used the tool's open-source version...GLPI Network Cloud is 19 Euros per month. It comes with one agent only, but if you use the IT asset management part, it is unlimited."
"The product’s pricing is competitive and less complicated."
"The solution's pricing model is good. Also, they still follow the old concurrent licensing method."
"It's $69 per user per month. Only administrators need a license, and there is no limit to the number of endpoints."
