Has enabled secure, centralized file sharing while saving significant time and resources
The best features in GoAnywhere MFT are that it's fast, reliable, and secure. First, the improvement is that we have resolved one of our security points with compliance. So that compliance point we resolved. And also it's a centralized file sharing system. All the users are able to access the file. There is no one-to-one sharing. It's improved about 80 to 85%. It saves about 80 to 90% resources. In terms of time, we can say 90 to 95% time is also saved because it avoids the one-to-one sharing and simply a user can put one centralized directory and all the users are able to access this solution and access the file. So it's 95%.

Provides high availability of clustering and valuable file transfer management features
The initial setup process is easy with the support of a 24-hour backend expert and available demos for installation and configuration. We can also refer to the documentation. It takes two days to complete. The deployment process involves server installation, configuring necessary reports, and publishing the system on the public internet. Initially, we created internal users with LtAP access. It enables control over file upload and download permissions for specific file types. The implementation, accessible through SFTP and HTTPS protocols, works well for secure file transfers. It requires three executives to deploy and one or two to maintain the product.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Overall, GoAnywhere MFT has been a reliable and efficient platform for secure file transfer automation, especially in environments where security, compliance, and workflow reliability are important."
"The usability is valuable because I am self-taught and have not had any formal training in the product. The help feature is quite handy."
"GoAnywhere MFT is easier and more stable than IBM Sterling, and it is also more enterprise-friendly."
"Compared to other vendors, GoAnywhere MFT stands out with the feature that allows you to create your own workflows. When a file is uploaded, we want some automation to be triggered, something to be done. This feature is exclusively available in GoAnywhere MFT, which I did not see in any other MFT solutions."
"GoAnywhere makes it easy to move files around. We have quite a bit of information we have to transfer to around 300 different companies that require us to send data on a regular basis. If we did this manually, it would require several employees."
"GoAnywhere MFT is very scalable, I have integrated it with Amazon S3 and am working to integrate it with REST APIs as well, database integration was also very easy, I have an on-site, on-premises SFTP setup and that integration works very well, scalability is very good, and I am able to accomplish what we need."
"The combination of automation, security, and centralized management makes GoAnywhere MFT a reliable and efficient platform for my file transfer needs."
"The best feature of GoAnywhere is that transfers are straightforward if there are no other requirements from the source and destination. It doesn't require much maintenance."
"The automation part of JSCAPE by Redwood is great because you can set up a scheduled delivery with files and be notified if the transfer was successful."
"The user-friendly interface has made it easy for fresh users to adopt it."
"The speed of transferring large datasets is super quick, which allows us to work on multiple tasks at a time."
"Triggers are also something that is useful as they automate the use of boilerplate code."
"JSCAPE provides high-level data encryption, which can help us share confidential and time-sensitive data across our global partners without any hassle."
"It is a reliable and easy-to-operate platform for secure file transfers."
"Automating and managing the file transfer using JSCAPE has decreased the manual interventions necessary and increased the organization's efficiency and productivity."
"It is platform-independent and can flawlessly work on any operating system using the latest security standards."

Cons

"The customer support is a bit slow from their end. The time lag they take to respond to our queries is more than expected, so I would give a solid seven out of ten for the customer support."
"I think GoAnywhere MFT is already strong from the stability and security standpoint, but it can improve more in UI modernization and advanced analytics."
"I like that you can tweak the interface so much, but it would be nice to be able to tweak it some more. The ability to further tweak the interface would be advantageous, as our end users had some questions about modifications that we could not address."
"On the platform side, I would like to see some improvements in the dashboarding and telemetry data."
"Scalability is around 7.5 for GoAnywhere MFT because there are restrictions based on file sizes for transfers, necessitating chunking to move complete files, which limits its effectiveness in data migration."
"The UI of GoAnywhere MFT could be more modern, and some advanced workflow configurations and troubleshooting steps could be made easier for administrators."
"One of the main important improvements I need for GoAnywhere MFT is a better real-time monitoring dashboard and an improved user interface."
"There is a function referred to as write CSV, to write a general text file. In this scenario of creating a simple text file, I ran into a situation where, if the product saw a quote or a double-quote in the data, it started wrapping all the text fields in double-quotes. The request I put in asks them to provide a feature that leaves my data alone and does not interpret anything."
"The cost of the tool is relatively high and can pose a problem to medium and small-scale companies who are trying to overcome their on-premise server limitations."
"Database crashing was seen whenever there was an overload."
"They could create an in-depth document so that any user with little to no background can implement this and use the software effectively."
"The FTP/S and ad-hoc techniques can further be automated."
"The documentation part can be improved to be more precise for beginners to understand the advanced features of the tool."
"The JSCAPE team could create detailed documents or blogs on how to troubleshoot certain errors that come over in integration with existing environment tools."
"The initial setup is time-consuming; it could use a video tutorial."
"The user interface is something that has to be worked on."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"HelpSystems GoAnywhere MFT is very reasonably priced for the value it brings."
"The pricing is decent for mid-sized and small-sized companies. It is good for startups or mid-scale companies."
"When it comes to secure systems that we have used, the price point can get a whole lot higher. You might end up saving in the short term with other solutions, but are you getting a secure product? Do you feel confident in that? Will you be able to get any support afterward? From my experience, based on the price point and the service that we got, it was a good value for our money."
"The cost is fine. It is probably the best software that I've had for the money that we spend for it. I am not aware of any costs in addition to the standard licensing fees. I don't pay for it. IT pays for it."
"Fortra's GoAnywhere MFT carries a higher price tag than other MFT solutions."
"The pricing is not favorable when we use it for a few people."
"It has flexible and affordable pricing because of custom quotes. The prices depend on the modules one needs and the volume of data being transferred. Overall, they offer custom and flexible pricing with an annual subscription, where you pay for specific features and functionality required."
"Pricing is based on a one-time license."
"The software is expensive compared to other vendors."
