Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Codeless with no customization required and excellent pricing
We have just displaced a ServiceNow installation, which is a major win. We have become partners with Halo and reduced our partnerships with other enterprise ITSM providers. We've actually become partners with Halo, and we've got rid of our partnership with Ivanti ITSM. It's a real market changer, for sure.

Macros and automation have streamlined workflows and reduced manual effort across support teams
The ability to communicate on the Zendesk ticket through the actual user software, so TOPs, would have been helpful. Somehow seeing a user's ticket history within our app would have been beneficial. That is the only thing that I do not think existed at the time that might have been helpful. Some people struggled with Zendesk, but it was always easy enough to show them how to use it and what they were missing. The only times we really had people report concerns about it was when they did not understand that it could do that or how to use it in that way.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"There have been a lot of challenges in terms of interfacing with the customer ERPs. So, we have been building tools and interfaces using bots to write back into these custom ERPs. Specifically, in the area where I work, this has been very helpful."
"Automation Anywhere is very easy to handle because it is a low-code platform, so anyone can learn very quickly."
"Automation Anywhere stands out because it has brought productivity to the organization, improved customer service, accelerated business growth, and allowed for faster innovation."
"It doesn't require any coding knowledge. Any business person can automate this process."
"Bot Insights is neatly integrated into the platform, which enables us to develop rapidly and train the learning instances using pre-defined domains over the purchase orders, forms, and invoices that need to be processed."
"The most valuable feature is the screen recorder, which helps to automate processes easily."
"We were working on a system called AS 400. Automation Anywhere performed well on that old system. It handled complicated processes. I had to review different menus and screens and give resources, storage, and databases. That's complicated."
"Automation Anywhere has helped my company with APIs. We are currently in a project to create APIs for our core banking service and other transactional systems, migrating from another integration technology to API."
"The solution's initial setup process was quite straightforward... I rate the technical support a nine and a half out of ten."
"The most valuable aspect is that is is codeless."
"The product’s UI is very good."
"The way it’s set up makes it very easy for agents, end-users, and administrators to use."
"We receive less questions from customers, so this is a big win for our support."
"Zendesk has positively impacted my organization because the interface is quite good, easy to use, and has a user-friendly UI."
"If their price is acceptable, I would recommend using Zendesk to all companies whose clients and employees need a simple way of raising issues."
"We have improved the service to clients, creating great support and managing relationships."
"It's an amazing product, it really helps out in organizing all our tasks."
"Time saved is definitely a benefit because it puts all of our tickets in one spot."
"The product offers very good management. It has a great ability to assign tickets based on content."

Cons

"The error handling command on this solution still needs improvement, especially when compared to other platforms that are doing very well."
"The integration in UiPath is much better. Automation Anywhere's latest version has improved. It's fine but not as good as UiPath."
"Automation Anywhere can be improved as there are issues with the recorder, which needs enhancement to extract more fields in the property set to increase reliability across various web application platforms, such as those built on React, React Azure, and React Angular."
"We are not getting consistent behavior from the tool We would like to see this improved and the product more stable."
"I feel A2019 is still not completely ready and the discontinuing of version 11 is a negative impact for all of the users and clients."
"I would like them to add OCR features. This would help us deal with unstructured data and we can get more data out of images."
"Commands in Excel, Outlook, and Word automation are very limited and hence facing difficulties automating complex requirements for the above applications with V11 version."
"The object cloning that exists cannot capture 80 percent of the objects that we need it to capture."
"There are no improvements needed. There is very little that HALO has not already built that is not on its roadmap."
"The solution's integration part needs to improve...In the future release of the solution, I expect to see certain changes in the programming of the solution. A customer of the solution should be able to customize it as per their need."
"The product does not have its own orchestration engine."
"It is easy to use, however, it is not quite as powerful as many other ticketing systems out there."
"I'm going to piggyback on what I said regarding Freshdesk concerning what could be better in Zendesk: incorporate more AI."
"Ticket forwarding and the ability to add subscribers to tickets as some back and forth correspondence needs to be brought to attention of several team members, sometimes across different departments."
"The solution could integrate better with QR codes from some websites such as Facebook."
"You couldn't give administrative access to new hires."
"Report Generator needs to be improved."
"The stability was a problem as our help desk grew. The product would need work on its stability (system hangs) and being able to handle larger groups."
"The support is not on chat often which is quite frustrating if you want immediate answers but they do respond to tickets within 24 hours."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There are a lot of savings in terms of effort and time as well as costs. Automation Anywhere automates a lot of processes. It allows an organization to save the efforts of a lot people. It saves a lot of time because people can't work a whole day (24/7), but Automation Anywhere bots can."
"I believe it is $10,000 for Bot Creator."
"I'm not sure what the monthly licensing cost is, as that is taken care of by another team, but I would say it's around $100,000."
"Time-wise: We have saved hundreds of thousands of hours."
"It is reasonable, but it can always be a little bit cheaper."
"We save approximately 10,000 hours per year."
"The setup cost depends on multiple factors, so you need to get details before choosing."
"We just did a round of price comparison on a global scale and found it's so hard to compare the license prices. But, Automation Anywhere, in general, is on the same price level as the other vendors, a bit lower in some cases."
"It's $69 per user per month. Only administrators need a license, and there is no limit to the number of endpoints."
"The product’s pricing is competitive and less complicated."
"The solution's pricing model is good. Also, they still follow the old concurrent licensing method."
"We pay for the solution on a yearly basis and my understanding is that the cost is about $30,000. That's the cost for 24 to 25 agents."
"You have to pay extra for better support. So it's not only the license that you pay for, but you have to pay extra for the support as well."
"From what I hear, Zendesk's pricing is a little expensive."
"Zendesk's licensing is not cheap. For Enterprise, we are paying $200 per agent. It's a per-month cost, so it's pretty steep. There are some services you need to pay extra for. For example, with Zendesk Guide, we had to buy the most expensive offering in order to get Multibrand and everything. We also had to pay a lot of money for themes."
"There are different plans that are offered. We are using the entry-level plan. The overall price of the solution should be reduced. The price is too high."
"The price is very competitive."
