We use Harbor for Docker containers to build from our GitLab CI/CD pipeline. This pipeline then automatically pushes to our Harbor instance. We are still working on storing Helm charts in the Harbor instance as well Harbor has improved our organization's security and stability in our container…

Hybrid cloud has supported payment services and provides reliable networked virtual machines
There are no restrictions about usage of these virtual machines because Linux machines are used, and everything needed is installed on our own responsibility, as all applications are developed by vendors who produce them for us. This is why there are no restrictions felt in usage of cloud services. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) offers good services, though the price could be lower than it currently is. AI and machine learning features of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) have not been used in production, as research is being conducted in this area. Services provided to customers are very well tested, and untested services are not offered to customers. Currently, research is being conducted on the usage of AI offerings through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other vendors of AI tools.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Right now this is the leading product in this category."
"The most valuable feature of Harbor is its security scanning capability."
"We decided to switch to using Harbor because there is nothing like it amongst these tools."
"Overall, there are some very good features on Oracle and it offers good customization capabilities."
"The main benefit is that you're getting all of the resources you require on a subscription basis, so you get to pay as you go instead of having to have a CAPEX, and you convert your CAPEX to OPEX to cover the data center cost."
"What is most valuable to me is a very general thing, it is just having the many options and features offered by the product, including accessibility through the internet and flexibility in supporting different capabilities and integrations."
"What I like best about Oracle Cloud is that it is an all-in-one system for everything."
"The functionality of these platforms is the same, but the performance of this solution for IAM is better."
"Our use case is for a variety of purposes; we use it for our billing system, our operations support system, our analytic data warehousing, digitalization, customer service, marketing, and sales, so it is integral to our operations."
"This is a highly available and scalable solution that can host both modern and legacy on-premises applications."
"The deployment is most valuable feature."

Cons

"There is a need for more support for public repositories, like the Google Cloud GTR, which is not as integrated as desired."
"The GUI needs to improve."
"The GUI interface can be better and more user-friendly."
"The product should integrate better with other storage options."
"Though Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) has robust features, improvements could be made to its authentication and identity access management, specifically in making them more seamless without using fingerprints for authentication."
"Amazon AWS has a better solution overall."
"The framework from AWS is so good, I would like to see this feature in OCI."
"It isn't easy to get qualified people who know how to work on this tool."
"The biggest challenge I'm having with the cloud offering is the sizing. So, pricing becomes difficult."
"The solution requires tighter integration capabilities."
"The product roadmap strategy for some of the products is not clear."
"The pricing is a bit expensive."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost of the product is free."
"The cost may be a bit high for many potential users."
"Its pricing is complex, but as partners, we can get away with quite a bit of discounting because we deal with them directly. I would rate their pricing probably a one or two out of five because they're quite expensive. Microsoft Azure will probably be the cheapest because depending on the Microsoft product that you have, they have some sort of bundling. There are things that they give you to get you onto Azure. AWS is probably somewhere in the middle."
"OCI's pricing is one of its best features."
"The solution is expensive. I would rate the pricing as ten out of ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive."
"My ROI has increased."
"Oracle Cloud is cheaper than other products."
"It's not that expensive. I think it's maybe half or one-fourth of our actual on-prem cost, especially in Oracle Data Integrator. It's pretty cheap. Maybe around $30,000 or $40,000 per month."
"The price for Oracle Cloud may seem expensive, but if you start comparing features and what Oracle offers, you'll realize that the pricing for Oracle Cloud is competitive. If you consider every aspect of Oracle Cloud, you'll see that its price tag is reasonable because it has a good user interface, user experience, and management. Oracle Cloud is a sophisticated infrastructure and the level of management it allows you to enjoy isn't available in other solutions, so I wouldn't worry about needing to invest huge money into it because it's a wonderful product to use."
