A stable and scalable solution with reasonable pricing
The solution has high support capability.  The tool needs to improve its cloud service capability.  I have been working with the solution for 15 years.  I would rate the solution's stability a ten out of ten.  I would rate the tool's scalability a ten out of ten since it is highly scalable. We…

We do not specifically use the password vaulting feature of CyberArk Identity. The centralized user dashboard of CyberArk Identity has not been that important for us. If it would be possible to share accounts between vaults in CyberArk Identity, that would be very beneficial. Account sharing between vaults is one of the most important aspects for us. It was pretty complex to implement CyberArk Identity. We had some help from a partner, and that helped a lot. But even for the partner, it was really difficult to streamline the process of implementing. We had sometimes an issue that really took days during the implementation to fix. That was something that I did not appreciate about the whole implementation. It should be much more straightforward, specifically because you're doing a SaaS implementation. I rate it a seven because vendor support is difficult to get. Basically, you have to go through a partner to get support with CyberArk Identity. That's another thing that they could improve.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The feature that I have found the most valuable is that they are open to connecting with any token. For example, a year ago, we were looking for a soft token, and we started to look for alternatives. They are open to connecting with any token that we looking for."
"The solution has high support capability."
"The product is quite good, and from my point of view, it can serve our requirements."
"CyberArk Identity is at the top."
"What I like most about CyberArk Identity is the model that is in place."
"The features are really powerful, providing really good SSO and MFA features and implementation capability, plus an MDM solution, and the cloud-based setup is simple and scalable."
"The straight-through approach of CyberArk Identity is very easy to start with; after you start with it, you can very easily onboard your privileged accounts, and from there on, you can advance further and make it more and more secure."
"The solution helps with auditing, and monitoring, and integrates with Splunk for log analysis. User activity logs are captured in CyberArk Identity and sent to external tools like Splunk for analysis and monitoring."
"From my perspective, platformization is an advantage because it's an experience that big customers can take advantage of, or the platformization part because it's easier to manage and easier to deploy because of that."
"The user self-service program and the Office 365 provisioning service feature are the most valuable. It is a very easy and feature-rich solution that gives priority to the users and security."
"As soon as it is implemented, it fundamentally changes how users access systems, providing immediate security benefits."

Cons

"The tool needs to improve its cloud capability."
"The user interface is not quite good and easy to use. There are a lot of menus, and the look and feel is not modern like a modern app."
"There is room for improvement in documentation. The documentation could be more specific about the changes needed to achieve specific goals."
"Something they could improve is the management of multifactor authentication. When you translate the page from one language to another, it can be a difficult process."
"One area for improvement is the complexity of the learning curve for new users."
"Some areas experience slowness based on the workload. There's a need to enhance network performance despite the good user experience with access management."
"In terms of a governance platform, it's worth noting that CyberArk doesn't offer a particularly strong one."
"The solution's difficulty in gaining skill sets should be improved because it's a vertical product."
"When you translate the page from one language to another, it can be a difficult process. The translation isn't always good, and it may have a completely different name. I've noticed this in the English to Spanish translation."
"The product needs to leverage the cloud more, especially in the financial sector, where cloud adoption might be limited. Proper reporting within the cloud is essential. The tool should be more user-friendly to expedite access for users. The current agent-based system poses challenges if a user loses access to the server, making tasks difficult to perform. It should also improve technical support."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I would rate the solution's pricing a three out of ten. The tool's licensing is monthly."
"I would rate the tool’s pricing a seven out of ten. The product’s pricing is expensive and is on a yearly basis. You will need to pay around 10,000 GBP for 500 users."
"CyberArk Identity is an expensive solution."
"I think it is a fairly priced tool. I rate the tool between six and seven on a scale of one to ten where one is expensive, and ten is cheap."
"In terms of pricing, BeyondTrust and CyberArk tend to be more expensive, with CyberArk receiving an eight out of ten, in this regard."
"There is an initial license and then there is a subscription needed."
"The pricing of CyberArk Identity is competitive."
"We find that the pricing and licensing of this solution is adequate, as compared to the other competitors in the market."
"There could be some additional costs apart from the licensing costs of the solution when you want to develop connectors in CyberArk Identity."
