Provides High Reliability and Data Security
• Data in the datahub refreshes nightly. As the data only refreshes once every day, it is necessary to have to wait for any changes to thesource systems to become available. The daily refresh can be extremely useful for reconciling data. • DataHub only displays details of current members of the Organization. So it has much limited data available for generation of dynamic reports. • DataHub is volatile. The records are completely re-loaded each day. It puts burden on the system. • There are very few summary tables available due to storage of data in a detailed format. • The detailed information is not stored in the DataHub. It is stored in the relevant source system. Only commonly required data is stored within the DataHub.

Long-term integration has supported real-time data exchange and simplified adapter-based workflows
The challenges I have faced with TIBCO BusinessWorks mostly relate to financial applications that do not come with those adapters, so that requires custom coding. The features currently in TIBCO BusinessWorks are good enough, but going forward, as we are doing a lot of AI-based integrations, I would like to see TIBCO come up with more prompt-driven configurations rather than people having to understand deep technology. AI-driven features in TIBCO BusinessWorks would be beneficial, so that our business tech BA can do the development rather than needing programmers. More artificial intelligence functionality would help so people do not have to code.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"All staff members and users can request an account which can be accessed from all PCs on the company’s network."
"The most important thing is that it is easy for developers to work with, and BusinessWorks is robust, flexible, and scalable."
"XML to JSON transformations, out-of-the-box, helps to build REST services."
"The most valuable features are the stability and the time to market."
"It is user friendly, it's not complex."
"The most valuable part of the solution is the ease-of-use and ease of deployment."
"It is a seamless and sophisticated tool, we can operate everything and scale up and down the instances, and it is also very user-friendly with a good overall experience."
"The solution is very scalable, it can handle a lot, and we have encryption plus integration servers running on that platform currently."
"The initial setup of TIBCO BusinessWorks was straightforward since we have used the solution in our organization for a long time."

Cons

"DataHub is volatile; the records are completely re-loaded each day, which puts a burden on the system."
"I don't think I would recommend this solution to others."
"The Business Studio tool can be improved, which is the tool for designing the processes. Improving the Business Studio tool will make this solution more stable. It has a steep learning curve, and it is pretty tough to learn."
"The container-based image is too large and this makes auto-scaling difficult."
"Though it is a stable product, if we have an issue with the product, it gets difficult, and it gets really difficult to explain the issue to the support team. Also, it takes a long time to get resolved."
"The creation of XSDs should be much simpler."
"Could be more user friendly in the development area."
"Improve Business Studio's stability to further minimize development time."
"Scaling with the solution is costly because if we need to scale up, we have to buy more memory. That means more money. Solutions like Camel or Pulsar come with built-in options to scale horizontally, vertically, region-wide or country-wide."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The license is expensive, and I would rate it one out of ten."
"The payments made for service are the only addition to the standard licensing fees that we pay for the solution."
"TIBCO licensing is yearly and very costly for a company like ours."
"I think BusinessWorks is more expensive compared to other products. We have the ELA, so at least we have some sort of bargain or discount with that. But for a start-up, it's very expensive compared to other ESBs."
"The cost depends on the components required."
"The product is not cheap."
"TIBCO BusinessWorks is expensive."
"It is a bit expensive for medium-sized companies. If you are migrating from the current version to the container-supported version, it is quite expensive. The existing licensing will not work because the product platform itself is different."
