Users value data-driven insights for optimizing business operations
The most important features are the site-to-site user experience, including details like how many users are on a site, the number of users on an SSID, and identifying guest users in business premises. These features help in understanding peak times during business hours and are highly valued by customers in Qatar.

Monitoring has improved bandwidth insights and application diagnosis but setup and costs still need work
They need room for improvement about the spare parts. There are shortages in Egypt in their stock. We tried to make RMA for specific parts, and it took a long time. Comparing this to a vendor like Cisco, who provides any component next business day, NETSCOUT nGeniusONE took a long time. This needs more improvement. I believe it is expensive. They need to reduce its budget a little bit. Comparing to other solutions, it is very expensive.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is stable due to its Cloud-based nature, which eliminates downtime or crashing issues."
"We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."
"The single dashboard is a valuable feature."
"We have seen a lot of return on investment: We have been able to recover radios in the field, we know exactly what is going on, we cut down fines from the service commission, and we have seen a measurable decrease in mean time to know, cutting troubleshooting down by days as we can now see the issues."
"It is an easy-to-scale platform."
"The feature that I have found the most useful is the decode of packets. It gives us a variety of information that helps us in figuring out what to look at. The networks are getting really complex, and without the information that we get from Iris Session Analyzer, we couldn't do our job. Its graphical user interface is also very easy to use and intuitive."
"The most valuable feature is utilization."
"The product is very good. We have very few problems."
"We have seen a measurable decrease in mean time to know and mean time to repair, and because the tool allows us to get to things a lot quicker and see things a lot quicker, we have actually reduced those times and it has definitely helped with our network uptime, with an improvement in uptime of at least 50 percent."
"The most valuable feature of NETSCOUT nGeniusONE is it helps customer to understand what risks are in their network. For example, if a customer has some wrong configurations. It could cost them some critical services to slow down."
"The fact that it's able to capture and store packets from the wires is very useful for troubleshooting with our vendors, when issues do come up. It's valuable that we have that overall data for them."

Cons

"The technical support needs improvement."
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."
"Before October 2024, there was room for improvement in the UI to make it more user-friendly. The Client Insight page on Juniper Mist Premium Analytics could be made simpler."
"The solution is not great, but it is not bad."
"Its initial setup process is complicated."
"We don't use the single pane of glass view, even though we own it."
"The technology goes end-of-life on us every year, which is why I am looking forward to vSTREAM. I don't like when devices go end-of-life on us so quickly. If we can get more of an advanced notice of when an end-of-life is brought up, because our certification process within the organization takes a while."
"I'd like them to make the product more user-friendly."
"The price is really high, making it difficult for many financial companies to purchase immediately; it will take time for them to afford any budget for the purchase."
"We would like more encryption of customer data, because we have a very security conscious company. We have a lot of regulation coming in which requires us to make customer data private."
"I would love to have them reassemble fragmented packets. That would be a very big plus in my book."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution is expensive."
"I don't know what the cost to buy the solution was, but I doubt if it's a significant part of the budget as far as the maintenance and support are concerned."
"The platform is expensive."
"Licensing is flexible, it's not tied to anything else. We can easily switch up the licensing piece... Obviously, NETSCOUT is a little bit in the higher range, but it gives you value for money. You get what you pay for."
"It can be expensive, but if you have a good configuration, based on what you are looking for, it's okay, it's manageable."
"It is a little overall pricey and expensive, but you get what you pay for."
"The price is a little high."
"We have a premium customized contract for the solution."
"Licensing is quite expensive."
