Stable, easy to set up, flexible, and has multiple functionalities, but needs to define priority levels for each incident
What's lacking in Loom Systems is the level of priority for each incident. For example, after implementation and there was a huge impact on the client, and the client comes back to you and says that there's an incident, that there needs to be an immediate resolution for it, you'll see severity one, severity two, etc., in Loom Systems, rather than priority levels. It would be better if the incidents can be defined as low priority, medium priority, or high priority.

Unified workflows have centralized ticketing and have provided real-time visibility across companies
ServiceNow IT Operations Management can be improved by focusing on adoption, as some companies still use other tools, and we had to onboard them initially, addressing challenges such as data migration and consistency, especially since we have 14,000 users in my group company utilizing this for multiple purposes, emphasizing workflows defined so that onboarding processes can be streamlined into a single tool. To improve ServiceNow IT Operations Management, I believe incorporating natural language processing is essential, allowing users to type queries such as 'I need this' and receive responses based on AI and data. Furthermore, enhancing analytics is crucial, as we have seven years of data providing a substantial history of past ITSM and non-ITSM business tickets that can help predict and reduce the volume of calls.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is very scalable; a company wouldn't have any issues expanding it if they needed to, and we have a few thousand users on the solution."
"What I like best about Loom Systems is that you can use it for infrastructure monitoring. I also like that it's a flexible solution."
"You can develop your own apps within Loom, and they can be configured very simply."
"Bringing Loom in ensures that the incident process, request process, change, all of these processes are improved."
"The RFS portion of the solution is the product's most valuable feature."
"The solution is absolutely scalable."
"The solution is absolutely scalable. If an organization needs to expand it out they definitely can."
"I am impressed with the tool's ability to track information in an easy way."
"Before that, if a switch went down, we'd get 600 tickets; now, we get only one."
"The main and best thing about ServiceNow IT Operations Management is that it helps to organize user management tickets in an organized form."
"It is a very stable solution."
"The initial setup is very straightforward. A person just needs to join a team to access the network and that's all."
"ServiceNow IT Operations Management's biggest plus point is that it is a platform, and they provide seamless integration of ITOM with their other modules such as ITSM, where we can leverage the AIs for discovery, perform impact analysis, which essentially helps to enhance the overall IT operations and reduce the downtime and MTTR."
"The reason is it's cost-effective, number one."
"The solution is easy to use and has great orchestration and automation capabilities."

Cons

"The reporting is a bit weak."
"The discovery and mapping still takes a lot of human intervention, it's quite resource heavy, especially in the initial setup which can take six months of work, especially when you have a large estate that you're dealing with."
"The reporting is a bit weak. They should work to improve this aspect of the product."
"What's lacking in Loom Systems is the level of priority for each incident."
"The change management within the solution needs to be improved. There needs to be more process automation."
"What's lacking in Loom Systems is the level of priority for each incident. "ServiceNow IT Operations Management could do a little bit better with integrations. Integrating ServiceNow IT Operations Management with CMDB processes needs a little more work."
"The solution's licensing model is a bit complicated. It should be simple and easy for people to understand."
"My managers would say that the price is too high. We wanted to also have the visibility version of it, but it's too expensive for us. Going for visibility would have doubled up the price."
"There are times the application has some performance issue, but it could be because of our network. There should be something done to resolve this."
"I advise others not to customize a lot while using the solution."
"The service discovery tool should include HR automations that automatically remove an employee who is leaving."
"There are some limitations with Discovery; some areas are not available in the installation. I would like the solution to be able to discover more devices. That will remove the need to have multiple tools."
"ServiceNow could be more prescriptive on how customers can leverage some of the benefits."
