Robust data protection has safeguarded mailboxes and disaster recovery for our clients
NAKIVO Backup & Replication has released many updates lately and at this point it works excellently. Needs will always appear, particularly around the AI topic and other things that come out over time. I understand that solutions always have to keep moving forward, but so far I see it as excellent.I give it a nine because nothing is perfect. There are always solutions, and NAKIVO Backup & Replication is a tool that adapts perfectly to certain needs. However, we cannot dismiss that there are powerful solutions on the market that have been around for much longer. I rate it a nine because we can always improve.

Trustworthy and provides good availability
Our administrator found the solution easy to use, but once that administrator left, it felt very overwhelming to the individual who took it over. It could be more of a knowledge transfer situation that didn't happen, but we didn't know if it was easy to use. Precisely Assure QuickEDD is deployed on the cloud in our organization. The implementation of QLED helped us with our recovery time objective and was a seamless transition. In order to utilize the product to its fullest potential, users should be knowledgeable of what it offers. They should also form a relationship with the person who is their representative. Overall, I rate the solution an eight or nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's really cheap, and our company saves a significant amount of money on IT backup solutions per year."
"The product is easy to manage for any IT person who is new to backup, recovery, and replication."
"It is fast, simple, powerful, and has a price without competition."
"We tried several competitors' software solutions, including Veeam Backup and Replication, but we have to say that Nakivo is the best choice when it comes to quality/cost ratio."
"Nakivo's reporting features have helped a lot. They give my boss high visibility into what's going on, which is crucial because we had a data breach in the past where we lost about 12 years of data. That's why we bought several appliances, and we replicate the same backup twice a day to three different depositories."
"Backups are working smoothly with Nakivo Backup."
"It is easy to manage all of the individual backup jobs, check the status every day, and it can even send an email to keep us informed."
"All in all, NAKIVO helped us save a lot of time."
"Synchronous applications are valuable."
"Its initial setup is fine; it is straightforward and easy."
"The most valuable feature of Precisely Assure QuickEDD is the backup system."

Cons

"While the solution provides mostly what we need, it would be ideal if there were some additional feature capabilities for the API."
"The feature that has a backup repository, like QNAP + ext. HDD's could be improved."
"They need a better knowledge base with more information about support issues."
"There are features that we would like to be integrated such as the ability to exclude directories, the creation of an image for bare metal restore as well as the creation of Plesk integration to use NAKIVO as a Plesk backup tool."
"When you schedule some jobs, you should be able to see a list of the jobs contained within each. You have to open up the editor to see what is inside. You must click through and edit stuff. Each time, it asks you to save or discard changes. It's very annoying. You only see the name of the scheduled job, and you need to edit it to see what's it's inside."
"It would be great if the product could be expanded to support other virtual technologies, like KVM or oVirt."
"In the next release, it would be good to have ability/feature to backup only Oracle database from the Linux OS beside backing up whole VM."
"The only thing we have encountered that we would like to see improved in the future are error messages."
"Our administrator found the solution easy to use, but once that administrator left, it felt very overwhelming to the individual who took it over."
"It is expensive. The cost varies based on your requirements."
"There should be more interactive dashboards."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"This product is cheaper than other big rivals."
"The prices are high."
"Nakivo is cheaper per machine and per backup."
"I advise that this is the best product for medium or small environments according to my cost-benefit analysis."
"Regarding the licensing, I would advise speaking to the Nakivo representatives and you can get the best option for your environment."
"The solution's pricing is adequate for its features and quality."
"Pricing is easy to understand and very affordable."
"It has a much higher bang for the buck than other products we evaluated."
"It is expensive. The cost varies based on your requirements. If you want to manage it, there is an extra cost."
