Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

A highly scalable product that helps organizations solve problems easily and produces a high return on investment
Sometimes, the initial setup is hard. We don't find the components to solve the exact problem. We need to get some scripts. It can take time. The time taken for deployment depends on the processes. Complex processes take days. Sometimes, we get processes that can be completed within hours. We usually get complex processes.

Automation has transformed document processing and frees teams to focus on higher‑value analysis
Sometimes, we encounter system errors that could be resolved via support, but connection issues are more frequent in enterprise applications. However, these can usually be solved by raising tickets if you are part of an enterprise, though we are not, which makes it somewhat challenging. It is vital to ensure the connections of UiPath Platform are maintained because it has a larger community. If UiPath Platform website included more features and documentation accessible easily, it would greatly enhance the experience. Instead of continually needing to raise support tickets, having a documentation hub where details can just be entered to retrieve required documents would be extremely beneficial.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The process to add licenses has been very straightforward and seamless."
"AA allows you to create processes using 3 types of robots: Task Bot, Meta Bot, and IQ Bot. Instead of rewriting redundant code for processes, a meta bot can be used instead. This type of robot is best used for complex scalable processes. IQ Bot: The most powerful of the 3 types of robots is the IQ Bot."
"The flexibility of Automation Anywhere's truly universal orchestration in integrating with different systems and models has been great for us because we are new to the mission tools and had our data scattered in Salesforce and Oracle Analytics, yet Automation Anywhere has smooth integration with those apps and about ninety percent of our apps are supported, integrating particularly well with Salesforce where our client data and service requests are managed."
"The most valuable feature is the ease of use. It's very user-friendly."
"Automation Anywhere has saved us a lot of time, money & efforts by automating our ServiceNow tickets."
"The features like IQ Bot and Metabot have helped our organization to gain business trust and provide a greater number of unique solutions to our clients for complex projects."
"Overall, the commands provided have enough range to complete almost any task, with creative out-of-the-box thinking required sometimes for workarounds."
"The deployment of Automation Anywhere went smoothly. They were very supportive with the migration of all of our existing automations and also being there and supportive with the development of the new automations."
"The product helps us solve problems easily and immediately."
"I highly recommend UiPath as it's easy to learn and offers significant advantages for all kinds of automation."
"I know that I've calculated that we saved $1.47 million through the automation we have already set in place."
"Once we started to use UiPath and found out how easy it was to build our first robot, we stopped looking into other options."
"UiPath has given us the ability to automate certain processes, and the ease of use makes the lives of developers a lot easier, especially with the use of screen scraping tools for data."
"The most important features of the UiPath Platform are the UI automation capabilities and Document Understanding."
"I love the REFramework and the Azure Queue and orchestrator."
"UiPath is straightforward and easy to use, even for those without coding knowledge."
"The user-friendly interface allows users to visually plan and design various automation processes through it."

Cons

"Compared to other RPA tools, the UI of Automation Anywhere is not that great and is not that easy to pick up for people, which takes more time for a newbie."
"The automated regression testing could be better. I need to build my own testing suite, and I know other tools have built-in testing suites. That is an area that's very weak in this platform."
"They should do more on the cognitive side. If they can keep adding more features, that would be their greatest advantage."
"It can be a challenge for a developer, as it limits what they can do."
"Using Automation Anywhere is neither easy nor hard, but against IBM Robotic Process Automation, IBM Robotic Process Automation wins."
"In the 10.7 version, the back-end port for the MetaBot password has looping. This has been a type of limitation."
"I feel the tool has to provide deeper insights for debugging issues, considering both internal and external factors."
"Additionally, the user interface is quite outdated and could be more user-friendly. The licensing cost is also too high, which means many small-scale industries may not choose this product."
"The solution must provide more AI services."
"I think UiPath Platform could improve in the catalog regarding options and hyperautomation, as I think this is more evaluated, and operations too."
"The Document Understanding feature should be more developed and advanced. For example, you have to make a template with their ML model. Currently, we can't use our own ML model, and we have to use the UiPath ML model. UiPath has only a few ML models right now. They should come up with more ML models or make it easier for us to use our own ML model."
"Sometimes, we encounter system errors that could be resolved via support, but connection issues are more frequent in enterprise applications."
"The user interface needs a little bit of improvement in terms of performance. Sometimes, it slows down, but it depends on the OS that you have. If you are running it on Microsoft Windows, it is slower than on macOS or Linux."
"So far, I have only used the ticketing through email support, and it is sometimes frustrating."
"I cannot recommend utilizing the best of the product in UiPath Platform, as it would incur high costs for my clients."
"I feel that some products are pushed out earlier than a comprehensive system should be; for IXP, the group methodology for the extractions doesn't relay currently in the GA features for human validation, and it's displayed as a data table rather than a drop-down, which creates a barrier for business review."
"I would like to see support for native C# capability."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product’s pricing is reasonable."
"The price of this product is good."
"I do not know the price, but I am told that it is cheaper than UiPath."
"The licensing cost of Automation Anywhere is better than UiPath and Blue Prism."
"Our costs are approximately between $5,000 to $10,000 per license."
"The pricing and licensing are definitely moderate to costly but easily recoverable by achieving ROI quickly."
"The ROI is really good. We have saved time and money."
"Our annual licensing costs are around $100,000 a year."
"The product is cheap in Turkey."
"We would like to see improvement on the ROI, as we need to free up resources. Too many man-hours are being spent on trivial tasks which could be automated."
"On a scale of one to ten, with ten being the highest, I would rate the price as an eight out of ten."
"The ROI on all of our RPA use cases is from a throughput perspective. Processing time improvement is anywhere between 70 percent faster to 300 to 400 percent faster. For the right processes, there is even up to 7X to 10X improvement from a throughput perspective, even though it works through the UI."
"UiPath's cost is a bit high compared to other RPA tools."
"UiPath is expensive compared to other solutions like AutomationEdge, which is cheap. Last year, it wasn't too high, but I believe they updated their licensing model, making it very costly."
"I don't know the cost. Maybe $25,000 for the year. I would definitely say it's worth the money."
"The main thing that could be improved is the cost. I have worked with other tools and the licensing cost of UiPath is slightly higher than the others."
"The solution isn't very expensive."
