Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Central console streamlines patch monitoring and device management effortlessly
WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection is good and easy to set up. I provide an installation file for every client through my domain controller and GPO, and it works properly. We have faced no incidents with viruses or network breaches, and it's easy to monitor patches. I can use remote desktop from the central console. The solution also saves my time because, being the only one handling it, I can monitor all devices easily.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The initial setup is easy."
"The solution's most valuable feature is its ability to rapidly detect certain hardware files."
"It's very stable. I've never experienced downtime for the ASM console or ASM core."
"We use it for malicious connections from malicious websites, to identify payloads that might be inside the traffic, to identify malicious processes or bugs that are running on the network, and any activities that tend to lead to data infiltration."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks has accelerated the response time for my security team, so we have been able to resolve issues faster than usual."
"Cortex XDR is stable, offering high quality and reliable performance."
"My advice for others looking into using Cortex is that it is very easy to use and very useful for the customer environment, whether it's a public or private one."
"These days it's machine-learning technology and behavior-based analytics features that make us more secure."
"The convenience has been great."
"The solution is centrally managed, easy to configure, and easy to use."
"The two valuable features are anti-ransomware and data loss protection."
"Seqrite Endpoint Security provides external protection in terms of hard drives."
"In case it works, we are looking to use features like USB blocking, file upload alerts, and other antivirus features as well, but this software has to work first."
"There are many features available in this solution, such as asset management."
"We found the DLP to be innovative and useful."
"I like Seqrite's web protection features and external device control."
"It's pretty simple to use, with the console and the dashboard there is no information overload, it's easy to follow, and it's pretty straightforward to do things like web filtering, generating reports, creating profiles, and deploying it to machines remotely, which is convenient for us."
"F-Secure is useful for keeping user machines up-to-date by pushing out security and critical updates."
"The customer portal by WithSecure is a lot better with WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection than it was with Countercept."
"WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection is good and easy to set up."
"Both incoming and outgoing traffic is protected."
"The notifications and patch management features are valuable."
"On the cloud management page, the solution scales up very highly."
"It's a very good and reliable product as we have no problems with it generally."

Cons

"It's very time-consuming to log support issues and the people that answer the tickets aren't very knowledgeable."
"The connection to the internet has not performed as expected."
"Dashboards do not allow everyone to see what's happening."
"For Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks, if I had to point out improvements, I would say the UI is still somewhat difficult for beginners."
"Fine-tuning the detection policy requires experience because the policy is very complex in Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks, and we get high false positive alerts."
"It is a complex solution to implement."
"Cortex XDR should have a lightweight agent, and the agent size should not be heavy."
"While using Cortex, I noticed some aspects that could be improved, such as increasing the synchronization speed between XDR and Xnor."
"The cost of the solution can be improved."
"When we fire any employee connected remotely over the internet, we need a security feature that blocks the system and the device."
"Endpoint Security would be improved by adding DLP."
"In the next version, they should improve the areas of utility and centralized control."
"The solution could integrate with other products to provide a comprehensive protection strategy."
"The stability is zero, Seqrite doesn't work, and the company doesn't accept the problems."
"The product or service could be improved by incorporating SIEM integrations to enable the collection of logs."
"A handbook of known issues and quick fixes should be given so that troubleshooting and frustration are less."
"But the biggest one for us is patch management because this has been our top priority when looking at alternatives. Every solution needs to have patch management, if that's possible. It would cut costs on our side if that feature were included, so we don't need to pay for two separate pieces of software."
"The solution could improve by having more real-time responses. For example, when a license gets removed from a computer it does not update the records of the change. Additionally, when I installed Microsoft Windows Defender I was not able to send licenses through email to our tenants. The integration with other solutions could improve."
"There is no technical support available in the Middle East."
"Resource consumption is suboptimal and could be improved."
"I would like the part of Hash Analysis by external sources to be improved."
"In my opinion, there is room for improvement for WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection, especially in the deployment tools, which could be a little better, but not by much."
"There could be a dedicated security partner with essential knowledge."
"One problem is that the solution takes too much RAM from the client."
