Flexible platform enables front-end customization and reliable performance
We use Arc XP Experience Platform on the front end. In the back end, we use Amazon's service and React to create all the components It's easy to use, and it's flexible to create different components in the front end. You can customize everything. The backend supports a lot of users at the same…

Secure file governance has improved collaboration and automation for client document workflows
The best features are around security, being able to set up different groups, and the governance features are really great. The new AI functionality that they released has been pretty handy. For governance and security, the audit trail capability is excellent. We are able to see when people interact or change files or if something was deleted, and we can go through and review that audit trail. The AI has been great for creating different workflows that we are able to execute. When a form gets submitted into Box - Intelligent Content Management or a file is uploaded, there are certain automations that we can put in place to where it can essentially generate tickets in our system for new users or other tasks.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It’s very intuitive, similar to Microsoft Word, making it accessible for journalists and content creators who may not have technical expertise."
"Arc XP Experience Platform is easy to use and flexible for creating different components in the front end."
"Customer service is top notch with having a dedicated customer success manager assigned to the account."
"File sharing for projects and other unique activities have been greatly enhanced."
"Awesome solution that works on many devices."
"Office Integration. The full integration into the Microsoft Office products is just perfect."
"We use Box as a cloud-based storage service for our employees to share documents, such as presentations, between people, and some of our customers have many gigabytes in files and we set up shared access to them using Box."
"The best features of Box for me include the structured file organizing, which is the most important part I found, and apart from that, secure sharing and integration with automation platforms, along with its smooth integration and usage in automations, is a very big plus for me."
"Box had a very easy-to-use search feature and a good user interface on its website, which was faster and better than SharePoint."
"The beauty of Box is that you don't need to download the document on your computer to edit it and then upload it again, because you can edit the content while the document is in the cloud."

Cons

"Arc XP could add structured content."
"For a small site, Arc XP Experience Platform is not worth it."
"If you want to delete something in Box, you have to do it manually, one by one."
"I find their API to be quite complex and it could be more straightforward."
"My biggest problem with Box.net is the lack of a free desktop syncing feature."
"The upload speed needs improvement."
"Integrations, the more integrations the better. Office + Outlook are great but we need more like it."
"I would like to see features for online collaboration between team members in the future, to open and see who is accessing the document now and see my movements across the document or the file we are sharing together."
"The search features and role permissions are not very user friendly. It only searches the first few pages of a document, which is quite a problem."
"Working on documents in real-time is sometimes faulty and could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"I'm in Higher Ed, so we purchase through Internet2-Net+. I absolutely recommend going that route for Higher Ed customers."
"Box's pricing is excellent."
"They are very price competitive when pushed. Initially, they come out with a standard list price, but they are willing to be very competitive. The Box price was pretty much equal to or lower than the Citrix price, and Box has more features."
"Better sign a full year's contract to get a discount."
"I have to pay for Box. It could be a little cheaper. On a scale from one to ten, I would give the pricing a five."
"A business account has a minimum of three users. If you are more than three people in-house, go for the Enterprise version. All the external users are free of charge."
"The pricing may seem steep at first, but delve into the features and you'll soon realize it is incredible value for what you get."
"Box needs to improve with their pricing in terms of licensing costs."
