Data restoration is the most valuable feature.
If I access my documents from the mobile app, I am also able to share these documents with accounts in other apps such as email, WhatsApp, Dropbox, google drive, etc. What I'd like is to be able to share a document or folder with other Mozy accounts (users), with limits of either under the same admin domains or even with other domains.

Backup operations have become reliable and reporting now simplifies hybrid cloud protection
Veeam Data Platform has Veeam Enterprise Manager as well as Veeam ONE as valuable features, which allow us to generate various kinds of reports that are required for the customer. Instant VM Recovery is a good feature of the high-speed recovery features in Veeam Data Platform, and Continuous Data Protection (CDP) is also a good feature. Ransomware protection is a good feature added in Veeam Data Platform from version 12 onwards, and the ability to create immutable repositories is also a good feature in Veeam. The analytics part of Veeam Data Platform is a good solution because I have worked on various backup technologies such as EMC NetWorker and NetBackup. However, I have not used the analytical parts currently but will check it out. Streamlining processes as well as saving money are benefits that Veeam Data Platform provides for the end user, as it allows for application-aware backups and database backups without the need for various kinds of licenses that other backup software requires. Veeam offers socket-based licenses, instance-based licenses, and capacity-based licenses, which is a great feature.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I was using Symantec Backup Exec, and we switched because Mozy is easier to use, and the cost is less."
"The data restoration feature is the most valuable because the end user requires minimum support to recover lost data."
"The ability to kick start the service live on the users machine; I also like the graphical representations of data space."
"I've had good experience with the Mac backup client running silently and keeping files backed up."
"Backup and storage is very fast, reducing what would otherwise take hours to minutes."
"The integration with some storage systems like HP or Nutanix and great support are the most valuable features, as you get productivity support and a response within one hour, even in the evening or night, and the functionality of the whole software is good."
"This is absolutely a product that I recommend."
"Definitely one of the simplest ways to backup a virtualized infrastructure but you may not be able to fully get rid of your regular backup software if you have physical servers or specialized applications that required specific plugins that Veeam does not support."
"Enables us to restore the VM when the needs arises and for disaster recovery."
"I'm pleased with the ability to search for documents; it's very useful."
"I like all the backup features in Veeam."
"Veeam Backup Replication is an almost flawless product, and I'm pretty satisfied with the way Veeam is developing their product at a rapid growth rate while maintaining the stability of the software and its simplicity and flexibility as well."

Cons

"The selection of directories and files to back up can't be managed centrally, it has to be set on each user's computer."
"Automated client deployment was not straightforward and never worked for me."
"The support staff were directed to give support on specifics and to stick to the support plan; anything out of the ordinary would be a challenge."
"The sales support is too poor and there is no point of contact, local representatives are not in positions to assist or even provide a proposal."
"I feel that the product's support team needs improvement."
"I would want them to improve some technical features that are still missing because we are working with NetApp NVMe and they're not fully supporting it yet. But both NetApp and Veeam know about it and they're working on it."
"I would like to have them come up with more robust features when it comes to individual endpoint protection."
"The solution could improve by allowing the ability to do monitoring and traffic aggregation in the whole virtual network environment."
"The user interface needs to be improved. It could be simpler to use."
"Veeam is not in SaaS right now."
"They could offer a hardware appliance as a comprehensive, full-stack solution."
"The solution could be improved with easier immutability."

"It is highly cost-effective when compared to other solutions."
"I would suggest to others that they buy the full license when purchasing this solution."
"Several licensing schemes are available."

Disaster recovery planning is something that seems challenging for all businesses. Virtualization in addition to its operational flexibility, and cost reduction benefits, has helped companies improve their DR posture. Virtualization has made it easier to move machines from production to…
