User-friendly solution with good blocking
I mainly use Security Premium as an antivirus.  Security Premium's best features are blocking, notifications, and the user interface. Security Premium's cost could be lower. I've been using Security Premium for a year. Security Premium is stable - I haven't faced any issues or bugs while using…

Behavioral protection has blocked ransomware and now saves extensive recovery and audit time
The best feature of Symantec Endpoint Security is its effectiveness in malware protection. Its malware protection capabilities stand out due to their ease of management. Although multiple tools assist in this process, managing them all can sometimes be challenging. In terms of malware protection, Symantec Endpoint Security performs well, and its mechanisms, tactics, and techniques are effective. Symantec Endpoint Security offers robust features such as advanced reporting capabilities with a customizable dashboard that integrates EDR timelines, threat maps, and compliance metrics into a single view. Additionally, reports can be exported to PDF or CSV formats, making reporting one of its strong points. It also provides comprehensive device control features, which block unauthorized USB devices and support whitelisting. This helps prevent data exfiltration and phishing scenarios without disrupting user workflows.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The internet security was a plus, and it's pretty good."
"The most valuable feature is the multifunctional protection."
"The ransomware protection that they have now is worth considering."
"It does not take many resources during scanning."
"The licensing fee for this solution is not expensive."
"We tried a few: Kaspersky, Trend Micro, we used McAfee, we used Norton; we tried them all on our entire fleet of computers, and we realized that in terms of ease of use and resource consumption, Norton is something that is acceptable to us."
"When I'm using the solution in my personal space, I can see that it secures my laptop, it works fast, and it actually does what I want."
"The antivirus aspect of the solution is very good, and the support we receive from Norton is excellent."
"It is very easy to use and keeps us secure."
"The fact that it has centralized management is the most valuable feature."
"The best thing about Symantec is its ability to control our endpoints from a single point. You can manage the antivirus definitions, upgrades, remote scanning, etc., from one console."
"The solution works very well, has a good IP signature and network, offers a lot of very useful features, is good for large organizations, and is able to handle a lot of users."
"The installation was very easy."
"This handles not just anti-virus, but a wide collection of other protective features including device and application control, network-based intrusions, and phishing attacks."
"The IPS function (with no firewall needed to be installed in the SEP client) is quite good."
"The most amazing qualities of Symantec Endpoint Protection is that it provides a total solution to all virus problems."

Cons

"The product is an antivirus, it should be updated automatically when needed."
"I don't like the password manager of Norton Security Premium. I really dislike it."
"During scanning, sometimes, there is a heavy load on the workstation. This needs to be improved."
"Having a dashboard that shows the different functions of Norton Security Premium can convince end users that the software is more than just an antivirus solution. This product offers several features, but end users think that it's just one out of the box solution, because the different functions are not explained in detail."
"Occasionally when you open a ticket, there's a lack of understanding that prevents the solution from being resolved directly."
"They say Norton Security Premium is an all-in-one solution, but we don't know exactly what's in it, e.g. they didn't make an effort to explain the difference between a virus scan and a ransomware scan."
"Sometimes the program is too complex, and simplifying it might be an improvement."
"It would be helpful for me if this solution works on our cloud backup data."
"Wish encryption detection was integrated though."
"The solution already has support for Windows, Mac, and Linux but it could improve by having better support for Linux. We have run into some problems when there are upgrades. If they can improve this point, Symantec would be good for endpoint protection as well as for a critical server."
"I would like things to be cheaper in the next release, although I cannot say which specific function I am referencing."
"I would less likely recommend this product to users who only have average RAM and CPU power."
"The solution could be more secure and scalable."
"The Symantec agent is bulky in comparison to various vendors. It creates stability issues."
"Is not a full anti-ransomware solution."
"The detection and response can always be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution gives the value for the money."
"Security Premium is highly-priced."
"If they could come down in price that would be good. It's not exactly the lowest."
"As I have been a long-time customer, I was given a fair price of $49.95 per month for the first four to six months."
"We have a yearly license, and each license is around 20 or 30 Jordanian Dinars plus taxes."
"Security Premium costs around US$100 for three years, which is a little expensive."
"I don't pay for a license."
"The licensing fee for this solution is not expensive."
"The licensing terms can range from subscription-based to perpetual, to annual, to tri-annual."
"They're on the reasonable side. They are at mid-level. They're not too expensive as compared to their competitors. They're also not too cheap. In terms of price structure, hopefully, they could do a subscription."
"The prices fluctuate, but this year I think it was maybe around $12,000."
"Regarding the licensing, it was important negotiate a long contract to get a more attractive price, including advanced support in case of crisis."
"It's not cheap."
"It provides a good solution at a good price."
"Pricing and licensing are important to us when choosing a product."
"It's pretty awesome price-wise. That's why we give it to most of our clients. It isn't very expensive. Compared to Cisco AMP, which is very expensive, its price is okay. It's also cheaper than Malwarebytes."
