Centralized access has strengthened security and saves time with streamlined user provisioning
Pros and Cons
  • "OneLogin has highly impacted our organization positively because it provides full customized control of user access and multi-factor authentication with great supported methods such as SMS OTP or email OTP, which are the key positive things we are getting from this solution."
  • "One thing that can be improved is that we got some false positives when remote employees were switching networks in the first week, which took some time to fine-tune and settle as per our environment, so that can be more simplified in the initial start."

What is our primary use case?

Our primary use case for OneLogin is to have central management of the solution across all our cloud and on-premises applications. For example, an employee logs in once and gets access to all their approved applications such as Salesforce, Zoom, or Workplace, and we use it to provision access automatically based on their roles when someone joins.

How has it helped my organization?

OneLogin has highly impacted our organization positively because it provides full customized control of user access and multi-factor authentication with great supported methods such as SMS OTP or email OTP, which are the key positive things we are getting from this solution. Since we started using OneLogin, we can clearly see it saving our time and we have seen a great reduction in security incidents.

What is most valuable?

The best feature OneLogin offers is its single sign-on combined with the app catalog, as it has thousands of pre-built app integrations which makes it take less time in the setup of SSO when we need to add or integrate Salesforce or Zoom. This feature also provides centralized visibility, so I can see every app, every user, and every access policy from one place, making this kind of control an excellent feature of this solution.

It has made the troubleshooting easier as well as the management, and it also helps for audit purposes.

What needs improvement?

OneLogin is a great solution with great features and I do not see any improvement needed at this time. One thing that can be improved is that we got some false positives when remote employees were switching networks in the first week, which took some time to fine-tune and settle as per our environment, so that can be more simplified in the initial start.

Centralized access control has improved security and now streamlines privileged user access
Pros and Cons
  • "OneLogin helps improve security posture, increases user productivity by allowing access to multiple applications with a single password, and has reduced support tickets once users fully learned how to use the tool."
  • "In terms of OneLogin, integrations or the integration list could be improved."

What is our primary use case?

OneLogin is primarily used for privileged access to applications. OneLogin enables access to applications without needing to use a single sign-on, as it connects seamlessly between systems.

For the end user, the experience with OneLogin is transparent. Previously, users had to log in to Office and then log in again to another application such as Monday. When synchronizing or running OneLogin together with those applications, the user only needs to be redirected to OneLogin by the application itself, and with that single sign-on they can then connect to other applications.

What is most valuable?

OneLogin offers the ability to update role permissions, which makes the task easier when disabling a user or changing their role or lowering their privileges. This is straightforward to manage from the same console.

OneLogin offers dynamic MFA, where the platform can decide, based on user behavior, whether or not to ask for MFA. This helps significantly. Additionally, intelligent flows, known as Smart Flows, help create highly customized authentication flows all from within OneLogin itself.

Another relevant feature of OneLogin is role assignment, which allows us not only to create the user in the final application, but also for OneLogin to assign the roles, groups, and permissions of those apps, attributed or associated with Active Directory.

OneLogin helps improve security posture. We base ourselves on ISO 27001, and they require us to have controls for secure access control, which OneLogin has helped us with. Another benefit is user productivity, because users do not have to enter multiple passwords in different applications to access them. One password is sufficient, and if OneLogin detects that the user is benign or not malicious, it makes it easier for them to access the other applications. There was also a reduction in support tickets. Although initially there were quite a few as a result of the tool's implementation, the reduction became clear as users fully learned how to use the tool, so there are no issues from that point of view.

What needs improvement?

OneLogin could benefit from additional dynamic security enhancement. The solution itself can decide whether or not to require MFA from users based on the user's behavior, where they are connecting from, their IP, what device, and what time. It allows us to identify and automatically trigger an MFA flow or simply deny access due to the dynamic risk that the user may present.

In terms of OneLogin, integrations or the integration list could be improved. There are applications that perhaps do not use the REST API, so providing the ease of being able to integrate more applications would be beneficial.

For how long have I used the solution?

OneLogin has been used for approximately a year and a half.

What other advice do I have?

The idea of implementing OneLogin was also to keep users under control and also to protect the applications they access with OneLogin by protecting them from the identity side. Though exact figures are not available, this impact can be described as positive for our organization.

Centralized security and smart authentication have protected accounts and reduced our costs
Pros and Cons
  • "OneLogin has positively impacted us in many different ways, particularly in terms of cost, as our costs have been reduced compared to what we have been spending."
  • "I believe the initial setup should be more straightforward."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for OneLogin is for security enhancement and account management. I use OneLogin mostly for security enhancement as well as users' account management, which includes the management of the client's accounts as well as team members' accounts.

What is most valuable?

The features I appreciate most about OneLogin involve the multi-factor authentication, which I consider one of the best features because it provides many options for increasing system and tool security. This helps us to see that our data and accounts are protected from threats, hackers, and unauthorized access. The MFA also helps us to add extra layers of security to the account.

The second feature I want to discuss is the integration feature; in this integration, many other features are exported from other tools and built into this single tool, which helps us to reduce manual effort and limit errors that could be caused by manual data exchange. All the information is gathered in a single place, and OneLogin has become a solution for all security purposes as well as the integration of other tools we use.

When we talk about security and usability, SmartFactor Authentication is a valuable tool because it helps in enhancing the tool's security. One of the valuable things I see is that it can detect errors and risks in authentication and provides advanced security for the tool, meaning that it can detect higher-risk logins and prevent unauthorized access. It also identifies non-compliant users and detects unsafe places, including anonymous IP addresses, which may be used by spies or phishers, providing strong security for the system.

OneLogin has positively impacted us in many different ways, particularly in terms of cost, as our costs have been reduced compared to what we have been spending.

What needs improvement?

OneLogin can be improved mostly by maintaining and upgrading it. Everything is running well currently, so I have not identified any required improvements at this time.

I believe the initial setup should be more straightforward. The initial setup should include all instructions in a tour video, so when someone is running it, they can watch and realize how things are done, not only regarding domain booking but also having posted videos daily about added features. This would make it easier for the person installing initially to know what should be done and what has been added. This would help anyone, regardless of their coding skills, to learn how to install it through video explanations.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using OneLogin for one year.

What other advice do I have?

I purchased OneLogin through the AWS Marketplace. I would rate this product nine out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Private Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Identity workflows have been automated and user access management is now streamlined
Pros and Cons
  • "OneLogin's best features are the whole package, which includes the combination of the integration with Active Directory, user provisioning, and the graphical user interface."
  • "OneLogin could be improved with more add-ins for integration with Entra ID and Exchange Online."

What is our primary use case?

OneLogin is our main identity and access management tool. We use Active Roles for user provisioning, which allows us to delegate the provisioning to other people. OneLogin manages user access permissions and includes creating mailboxes.

What is most valuable?

OneLogin's best features are the whole package, which includes the combination of the integration with Active Directory, user provisioning, and the graphical user interface. OneLogin has positively impacted our organization by saving us money because we automated a lot of things with One Identity.

What needs improvement?

OneLogin could be improved with more add-ins for integration with Entra ID and Exchange Online. I would appreciate more options to add to One Identity, such as Entra ID provisioning and Exchange Online mailboxes directly, and maybe integration with Graph.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using OneLogin for about 10 years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

OneLogin seems stable to me. There are sometimes CPU usage peaks when certain scripts perform, but overall, it is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I do not manage OneLogin's scalability, as another department handles this.

How are customer service and support?

I have not had any experiences with customer support, but one of my colleagues did, and he was quite satisfied.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before OneLogin, we did not have any other solution; there were just manual scripts.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I did not handle the pricing, setup cost, and licensing aspects, as they were managed by another department.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I think we evaluated other options before choosing OneLogin, but that was before my time.

What other advice do I have?

OneLogin is nice and easy to use. I would rate OneLogin an eight out of ten because nothing is a ten for me; everything can be improved, and this is quite acceptable. More integration with other solutions, especially Entra ID, would contribute to a higher rating. Based on my experience, the user identity synchronization across directories functionality in OneLogin is acceptable. Regarding OneLogin providing a smooth experience for end users when they are signing in and accessing applications, end users are not really logging in through One Identity, but One Identity provides them all the necessary groups to log into their applications, so they do not notice anything. The experience is smooth. My advice to others looking into using OneLogin is to get skilled people who can work with OneLogin and who can script. My overall rating for OneLogin is eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

On-premises

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Single sign-on has simplified daily access and now provides secure centralized user management
    Pros and Cons
    • "OneLogin by One Identity is really stable, and in the scenarios that we have encountered, it has been very stable with no delays or extended maintenance windows."
    • "We are using multiple SSO tools for our management team, but based on the comparison with the earlier used products, it would be better to have customized options for the dashboards that will include a dashboard for the usage of user accounts that can be added to it, providing better visibility along with some granular reporting and analytics for authentication trends."

What is our primary use case?

We have been using OneLogin by One Identity for one and a half years for the primary use case of SSO for enterprise applications that we have, along with MFA that is used for secure user access and centralized identity and access management, followed by secure remote access for employees, integration with AD, and cloud-based applications.

    What is most valuable?

The main feature of OneLogin by One Identity is SSO that makes it seamless for end users while reducing password fatigue, followed by MFA authentication, which addresses an extra layer for security without introducing excessive complexity.

OneLogin by One Identity provides a seamless end-user experience for signing into applications, particularly where the feature makes access seamless for the end user by reducing password fatigue. In this scenario, while logging into multiple applications, you just have to log in once, utilizing the password for it, making it really seamlessly accessible to multiple applications via the same browser.

    What needs improvement?

We are using multiple SSO tools for our management team, but based on the comparison with the earlier used products, it would be better to have customized options for the dashboards that will include a dashboard for the usage of user accounts that can be added to it, providing better visibility along with some granular reporting and analytics for authentication trends.

Enhanced API documentation with additional implementation examples will be helpful, as in our scenario, we have not utilized that particular portion that much. The suggestion for improvement is that OneLogin by One Identity should have enhanced API documentation for better additional implementation in our environment.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this product for one and a half years in my career.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

OneLogin by One Identity is really stable, and in the scenarios that we have encountered, it has been very stable with no delays or extended maintenance windows. We have not faced any such issues.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability of OneLogin by One Identity is highly effective because it can comfortably support organizations ranging from small businesses to large enterprises with thousands of users. Adding new user applications or authentication policies is straightforward without requiring significant infrastructure changes, making it more scalable.

How are customer service and support?

Our IT team might help us, but directly as an end user, I have not reached out to support.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Compared to Okta, which we used earlier and which provided limited solutions, OneLogin by One Identity helps us in SSO and MFA. Additionally, the parameters that it provides, such as centralized identity and access management along with user lifecycle management, which we miss in competitors like Okta, as well as secure remote access and integration with AD and cloud-based applications, serve as the main differentiators that lead me to rate this application highly.

    How was the initial setup?

The initial deployment of OneLogin by One Identity was not much complicated. We cannot say it is easy, but with the help of our IT team, it was easier, and there were no complications.

The integration with third-party authentication providers was complicated internally, but since our IT team is very knowledgeable about integrating those portals, we did not require an external implementation partner or support from OneIdentity, so it was not much complicated. It was hard at the initial level, but once we referred to the available guide, it became easy.

    What about the implementation team?

One individual is enough to manage this. We have an organization of two hundred fifty people, and while managing it, that one person was sufficient.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We cannot say that we have particularly used any alternative, but for authentication, we use AD authentication and regular MFA with solutions such as Okta, which is the first type of application we have.

What other advice do I have?

I have not gone through the aspect of smart factor authentication to adjust authentication flows in real time depending on the risk score.

As an end user, I am not aware of the pricing for OneLogin by One Identity.

I use the single sign-on feature provided by OneLogin by One Identity, which is the purpose I mentioned already.

OneLogin by One Identity does not require much maintenance. Sometimes there is a bit of delay, but I did not solve it with the help of support, so there was no maintenance required in that particular duration.

I would rate this review a nine out of ten.

Secure access has become seamless and daily authentication workflows are faster
    Pros and Cons
    • "OneLogin has impacted our organization by making work efficient for people by granting them easy access and logins."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for OneLogin at my organization is to access our SharePoint and other internal documents when it's prompting me to do a two-factor authentication.

One example is that earlier today I was trying to access the hub and in order to do so, I had to sign into my work email, which I did. OneLogin was able to step in and prompt me to do a further authentication through OneLogin app on my phone to grant me access to the hub.

I use the single sign-on feature and I use it every day.

      What is most valuable?

One of the best features is how fast OneLogin prompts you to submit a number.

The speed of the prompt grants me the ability to access my internal resources faster, which then makes me be able to work quicker and more efficiently.

OneLogin has impacted our organization by making work efficient for people by granting them easy access and logins.

In terms of security, I have been able to have all my information on lockdown more.

It was so easy to integrate OneLogin single sign-on feature on my third-party authentication provider.

I was pretty impressed with OneLogin's ability to provide a seamless end-user experience for signing in and authenticating to needed applications.

      What needs improvement?

I think OneLogin works well the way it is.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using OneLogin for the three months I have been employed at One Identity and it has been great.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

      OneLogin is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

      OneLogin's scalability is very good.

How are customer service and support?

OneLogin's customer support has been great. I would rate OneLogin's customer support a 10 out of 10.

How would you rate customer service and support?

      Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not use a different solution before OneLogin.

What other advice do I have?

I would encourage others looking into using OneLogin to explore the entirety of the app.

I give this product a rating of 10 out of 10.

Identity control has protected our medical platform and reduces costs through precise user tracking
      Pros and Cons
      • "OneLogin by One Identity has had a positive impact on my organization in that the cost of running the platform for different users has reduced, as people cannot maintain new credentials or new IDs, making our ecosystem reliably closed for specific users to perform; our major USP of the platform is that it's a medical domain platform, so it should have a very limited amount of people, specifically genuine users."
      • "Reliability can be an issue in data science and AI."

What is our primary use case?

OneLogin by One Identity is used to manage external APIs while ensuring that a specific person only has access up to a certain API limit, after which they should purchase on that same identity, making our ecosystem safe for login users.

A specific example of how I use OneLogin by One Identity is on our website where we have a service; if more users log in, it adds to our own cost, and we want to avoid that, so only one person can use that service, which also prevents bot usage on the platform and prevents different companies from logging in with different credentials to make fake accounts and extract information.

OneLogin by One Identity prevents us from bot crawling, helps us keep track of how many active users we have, and there are many more cases in which we use it.

How has it helped my organization?

OneLogin by One Identity has had a positive impact on my organization in that the cost of running the platform for different users has reduced, as people cannot maintain new credentials or new IDs, making our ecosystem reliably closed for specific users to perform; our major USP of the platform is that it's a medical domain platform, so it should have a very limited amount of people, specifically genuine users.

Our time and resources of our own deployed GPUs and pipelines have diminished, so mostly thirty percent of the cost we used to run has reduced when we used to use external APIs.

      What is most valuable?

One of the best features OneLogin by One Identity offers is user tracking, which allows me to track the user: when they log in, for how long they stayed on the platform, and other relevant metrics, making it good for user attraction analysis.

When it comes to accessing analytics and reports for user tracking, I get most of the details because we have a very systematic and simple overlay on the data from One Identity that we project on the boards and graphs using other Python libraries, and it takes a maximum of around five to ten minutes.

      What needs improvement?

I am on the data science end, but my DevOps team could provide more detailed feedback on improvements. From my perspective, OneLogin by One Identity could provide some good dashboards and visuals for the user logs and users, and track how the user is performing on the website, as this analysis can help.

OneLogin by One Identity could provide a more attractive user interface for interaction.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using OneLogin by One Identity for one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

OneLogin by One Identity is stable, and the costing is good, with no fluctuations or anything.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing OneLogin by One Identity, we did not really evaluate other options; we did not explore a lot.

What other advice do I have?

OneLogin by One Identity's governance and security are perfect, with no real concerns.

In terms of OneLogin by One Identity's AI capabilities, the accuracy and reliability of its output are generally good; to be very honest, AI is not one hundred percent accurate, but the overall layers and agentic flows that OneLogin by One Identity might have implemented are giving good accuracy, even though reliability can be an issue in data science and AI.

OneLogin by One Identity is mostly deployed in my organization on the public cloud, as we use websites where it acts as a layer for the users while they're coming and interacting with our services.

For deploying OneLogin by One Identity in the cloud, we mostly use Azure as our local deployer.

I would rate OneLogin by One Identity an eight on a scale of one to ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

      Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Centralized access management has simplified secure logins and reduced password reset efforts
      Pros and Cons
      • "OneLogin has positively impacted our organization by improving security and user experience by simplifying access to business applications through single sign-on while also reducing password reset tickets and manual account management for the IT team."
      • "OneLogin could improve its admin interface and troubleshooting experience because some configuration and error logs can be difficult to track during complex integrations or provisioning issues."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for OneLogin is centralized identity and access management, primarily for enabling single sign-on and MFA across cloud applications like Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and internal business tools.

For single sign-on or MFA in my daily workflow, we use OneLogin to give employees one secure login for applications such as Microsoft 365 and Salesforce. MFA automatically triggers when users sign in from unmanaged devices or new locations, which has made access management much simpler for the IT team.

      What is most valuable?

The best features OneLogin offers include easy management of SSO, adaptive MFA, Smart Factor Authentication, automated user provisioning, de-provisioning, and strong integration support for cloud and on-premises applications, which really helps simplify identity management and improve security.

Smart Factor Authentication in OneLogin has helped us reduce unnecessary MFA prompts by applying extra verification only for risky logins. Automated provisioning saved a lot of time by automatically creating and removing user access based on HR or Active Directory changes.

OneLogin has positively impacted our organization by improving security and user experience by simplifying access to business applications through single sign-on while also reducing password reset tickets and manual account management for the IT team.

After implementing OneLogin, we saw password reset tickets drop noticeably because employees could access most applications through a single login and automated provisioning reduced manual onboarding and offboarding work that previously took the IT team hours each week.

Overall, OneLogin has been a reliable identity management platform for simplifying SSO and MFA across multiple applications. It is especially useful for organizations looking to reduce password-related support issues while improving access security.

      What needs improvement?

OneLogin could improve its admin interface and troubleshooting experience because some configuration and error logs can be difficult to track during complex integrations or provisioning issues. Better documentation and faster support for advanced cases would also help IT teams manage deployments more efficiently.

One area I would appreciate improvement in is reporting and audit visibility because pulling detailed user activity or troubleshooting authentication failures can sometimes feel less intuitive than it should be, especially in larger environments.

Better customization and clearer workflow for complex conditional access policies in large enterprise environments are needed. I advise starting with a small pilot rollout first and ensuring that your identity sources such as Active Directory or HR systems are properly organized before enabling automated provisioning.

Centralized access management has simplified onboarding and strengthened authentication controls
      Pros and Cons
      • "OneLogin has positively impacted my organization by centralizing identity management and enforcing strong authentication policies such as MFA."
      • "OneLogin can be improved in several ways."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for OneLogin is to provide secure single sign-on access to multiple applications for our users. This simplifies user access by reducing the need for passwords and helps decrease password-related issues. OneLogin also manages user provisioning and de-provisioning to ensure users have the right access at the right time. Additionally, it implements multi-factor authentication and policy control to enhance security.

A specific example of how my team uses OneLogin for single sign-on and user provisioning in our day-to-day work is when we onboard a new employee. We use OneLogin to quickly provision their user account across multiple applications. We create their account in OneLogin, which automatically grants them access to email, the HR system, and project management tools without needing separate logins. This saves time and reduces errors compared to manual account creation in each application.

We also enforce security policies such as multi-factor authentication for sensitive applications. This provides protection against unauthorized access and enhances our overall security posture.

How has it helped my organization?

OneLogin has positively impacted my organization by centralizing identity management and enforcing strong authentication policies such as MFA. It has streamlined user access, allowing employees to log in once and access multiple applications, which boosts productivity.

      What is most valuable?

The best features OneLogin offers are single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and user provisioning and de-provisioning automation.

What makes the multi-factor authentication and provisioning automation stand out to me is the support methods such as SMS, authenticator apps, and hardware tokens, which give flexibility to users and administrators. It is easy to configure with policies that can be applied based on user roles.

The user-friendly interface makes it easier for IT teams and end-users to manage access and authentication.

      What needs improvement?

OneLogin can be improved in several ways. The initial setup process can be easier.

The documentation could be more comprehensive and easier to navigate, especially for complex integrations. Step-by-step tutorials and troubleshooting guides would help users resolve issues faster without needing to contact support.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using OneLogin for approximately nine to ten months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

      OneLogin is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

      OneLogin is quite scalable.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before using OneLogin, we were not using a different solution.

      How was the initial setup?

OneLogin has reduced the time required for user productivity by approximately forty to fifty percent.

      What about the implementation team?

The impact of enforcing MFA at the desktop level, regardless of online or offline status, on my security protocols is significant. When offline, it strengthens security by ensuring that only authorized users can access the device. It reduces the risk of unauthorized access if a device is lost or stolen, as credentials alone are not sufficient. This approach maintains compliance with strict security policies and regulatory requirements.

      What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment with OneLogin, as time has been saved.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I was not on the team that handled pricing, setup cost, and licensing.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Prior to choosing OneLogin, we did not evaluate other options.

What other advice do I have?

My impression of the user identity synchronization across directories functionality in OneLogin is that it is generally reliable and efficient. It supports syncing across multiple directories such as Active Directory, LDAP, and cloud directories, which helps maintain consistent user data.

My impression of OneLogin's ability to provide a seamless end-user experience for signing in and authenticating to needed applications is that it offers a smooth and user-friendly sign-in experience through its SSO capabilities. Users can access multiple applications with one set of credentials, which reduces password fatigue and support calls.

I have not used the single sign-on feature with third-party authentication providers.

My advice to others looking into using OneLogin is that it is a very good platform that you should definitely consider. I would rate this product a nine out of ten.
