Search insights have reduced no-result queries and guide visitors quickly to relevant content
In my opinion, the best features Coveo offers are that it's quick, it's easy to navigate, and if you have something you want to know, Coveo is very helpful in helping you find out how to get the information that you need and sort the information that you need. Of those features, the main thing I find myself appreciating the most in my day-to-day work is being able to find what I need without spending a huge amount of time. The speed and easy navigation are important; there are other tools that do the same thing, but finding what I need quickly really matters.

Logging and vector search have transformed observability and empowered reliable ai agents
Elastic Search is not specifically being used for certain purposes. I deploy Elastic Search database on the cloud and use cloud services so that nobody can attack. However, I do not use Elastic Search to resolve attack issues. The basic main purpose of Elastic Search, as of now, I feel it can do more in the AI area. Sometime I saw that when I am developing RAG and have to generate the embeddings, which I call metadata, sometimes it tries to fail. That durability or issue handling should be improved, but apart from that, I did not find anything as of now. As per my use case, whatever I am using seems pretty good. Apart from that, some definitely improvement will be there. One improvement is that it should be faster. Whenever I am searching any logs, it takes much time. For example, if I open my log in Notepad or a similar tool, I can search the text within a second. With Elastic Search, it takes a little bit of time, ten to fifteen seconds. That can be improved. Sometimes, engineers take time to assign when I create a ticket.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"One of the standout features of Coveo is its AI-powered search relevance, which helps users find the right content quickly."
"Coveo provides AI-driven search results and proper recommendations based on customer interaction and context, which is very beneficial for us because it improves our order conversion rate, allowing customers to find the exact products they want and see similar products, greatly increasing upselling."
"Coveo positively impacted our organization by drastically reducing the time needed to provide solutions on the support case side, as agents no longer have to sift through all documents, resulting in decreased response time and reduced case volume since customers can verify the knowledge available before creating a case."
"The biggest positive impact Coveo has made on my organization is reducing the time people spend manually searching across different enterprise systems."
"After migrating to Coveo, it took less than 10 milliseconds to load all this data."
"Coveo has positively impacted my organization by cutting down the number of no result searches from something like 15% to about 5%, which is huge, saving calls to call center people and probably preventing people from seeking out products from our competitors, so we get people to pages that they want more quickly and more effectively."
"In terms of accuracy and reliability of output, I believe Coveo is probably the best in market scenarios."
"Coveo provides a search engine experience that is superior when compared to the other search engines available in the market as of now."
"We are developing a SIEM application that is similar to QRadar, ArcSight, or Splunk, and this application uses Elasticsearch as its search engine because we want to retrieve information fast."
"Search is really powerful."
"I have found the sort capability of Elastic very useful for allowing us to find the information we need very quickly."
"The most valuable feature of Elastic Enterprise Search is user behavior analysis."
"Big businesses cannot survive without Elastic Search because it gives us very good visibility and handles our use cases very well."
"The speed with which Elastic Search is able to search through all of the documents we place into it is quite remarkable, as we search through 65 billion documents in less than a second in most cases, on a constant consistent basis."
"The solution is stable and reliable."
"All the quality features are there. There are about 60 to 70 reports available."

Cons

"The main area I would improve is the learning curve because there are many concepts and configuration options, and understanding how indexing, query pipelines, security, and all those pieces work together requires experience."
"I think Coveo can be improved by providing a sandbox for developers, even if you are not part of an organization, and the API configurations can be made a bit easier because there are a lot of options right now which confuses users."
"I chose eight out of ten because we have some limitations, such as when we share heavy data, where a large number of data takes more time for Coveo to process; that is one area where Coveo needs to improve, but apart from that, it is good."
"The learning curve can be steep for new developers, especially when working with relevance tuning, query pipelines, and advanced configurations."
"I think the pricing was definitely on the higher side, and the professional services were also quite costly."
"Coveo can improve by supporting a few more languages."
"One area of improvement for Coveo is the size limitation concerning response results."
"The main reason I rate it an eight out of ten is that while Coveo is very capable, there is still some room for improvement regarding the developer experience."
"Technical support should be faster."
"Better dashboards or a better configuration system would be very good."
"The initial configuration could be easier; at first, the learning curve is a little high, and over time, it becomes easier."
"It needs email notification, similar to what Logentries has. Because of the notification issue, we moved to Logentries, as it provides a simple way to receive notification whenever a server encounters an error or unexpected conditions (which we have defined using RegEx)."
"I know many customers who lost their data and could not recover it."
"It was not possible to use authentication three years back. You needed to buy the product's services for authentication."
"Pagination in Elastic Search is very slow."
"There are some features lacking in ELK Elasticsearch."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The pricing structure depends on the scalability steps."
"The pricing model is questionable and needs to be addressed because when you would like to have the security they charge per machine."
"This product is open-source and can be used free of charge."
"We are using the free version and intend to upgrade."
"The price of Elasticsearch is fair. It is a more expensive solution, like QRadar. The price for Elasticsearch is not much more than other solutions we have."
"This is a free, open source software (FOSS) tool, which means no cost on the front-end. There are no free lunches in this world though. Technical skill to implement and support are costly on the back-end with ELK, whether you train/hire internally or go for premium services from Elastic."
"The solution is less expensive than Stackdriver and Grafana."
"The solution is not expensive because users have the option of choosing the managed or the subscription model."
