Recording and transcription enhance global client meetings
Google Hangouts sometimes consumes significant resources. When comparing it to WhatsApp on desktop for calls, there are instances when Google Hangouts freezes or stops working, but switching to WhatsApp runs smoothly. This might be related to the resources Google Hangouts requires. The service occasionally experiences lag issues where the image gets frozen or the voice transmission becomes interrupted. When these issues occur, possibly due to internet connectivity or other factors, WhatsApp continues to function properly while Google Hangouts does not perform well.

Unified communication has transformed our collaboration and consistently boosts project delivery
The best features Zoom Workplace Business offers include screen sharing, clear video and audio, online meetings, large-scale events, call management, mobile apps, unified communication platform, and collaboration. The feature I find myself using the most is an AI-powered collaboration platform that is used to streamline communication, increase employee engagement, optimize in-person time, and improve productivity. The screen sharing is very effective and a helpful tool where we are able to screen share with our colleagues and discuss different tasks and project management ideas. Collaboration has become very efficient, and remote working has also become efficient and prevalent in my organization. We have been able to save a lot of time using Zoom Workplace Business. It has been a game-changer. Zoom Workplace Business elevates the experience with Zoom AI Companion included at no additional cost. It is designed to help employees be more productive, collaborate better, enhance their skills, and unlock time savings.

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features are that you don't have to create a separate account, it's easy to use, and you don't have to enter an ID or password to start video conferencing."
"The ability to share a screen during a meeting is one of the most valuable features. You can also be directly connected on the computer and on the phone with the same account. It is flexible."
"We use transcriptions to document meetings, which is important for productivity."
"When you get a meeting invitation, it's very easy to just join and go."
"My advice to others looking into implementing this platform is that we've had good success with it."
"The most valuable feature has been the ability to present presentations during meetings."
"Hangouts is a lightweight solution that can be used across devices including phones."
"The installation part of the product is easy since one generally needs to use a browser to use the product."
"The most valuable features of Zoom are voice and camera clarity. The time latency of the response is good. The facility to view all the participants who are online is a benefit. In most of the other similar solutions, they too have this feature. However, since I have used Zoom, I find it as an advantage because you can see all the participants online and you can choose."
"The product runs pretty smoothly so I haven't had to contact technical support."
"The product is easy to use."
"Zoom is easy to use and easy to navigate."
"Zoom is a stable solution."
"Zoom works very well and is very stable."
"Zoom comprises our main mode of video communication."
"In summary, this is a good product and I think that they are doing well with keeping it up to date in terms of features."

Cons

"It is not as stable. They can improve its stability."
"I would like to see support for showing virtual backgrounds."
"The scalability has room for improvement."
"It would be better to have a feature for recording the meetings in Google Hangouts."
"The product was quite unstable during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially when we shared our screens, as it often resulted in a black screen."
"As someone who is not very familiar with technology, I find it acceptable. I prefer to wait and see what they will come up with in the future. However, I notice that they keep introducing new features that are better than the previous ones."
"Google Hangouts sometimes consumes significant resources. When comparing it to WhatsApp on desktop for calls, there are instances when Google Hangouts freezes or stops working, but switching to WhatsApp runs smoothly."
"Google Hangouts should add a feature to show how someone connects, such as via a laptop or phone. If you know if someone is using a laptop you can ask them to share their screen."
"Zoom could be more flexible for individuals that do not have the economic capacity."
"If a user has bad connectivity, Zoom will not work well."
"Zoom should also include features like the automatic transcribing of conversations."
"The only limitation in Zoom is related to the time limit for a call, which is about 40 minutes."
"One area that can be improved is the chat settings."
"I do not like Zoom as much as Microsoft Teams. I am not sure what is better about Zoom."
"I found it very confusing to set up a meeting."
"There were several instances where we couldn't connect into a meeting just on video and then couldn't even dial-in."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We access the solution through Google Workspace. It is inexpensive to use."
"For individual use, there's no license requirement as such. For storage or some other purposes, if I go beyond 15 GB, then I need to buy something."
"We are using the free version of Google Hangouts."
"The screen-sharing feature is the most valuable feature."
"Google Hangouts has reasonable pricing, but I don't use the paid version because I only have a small budget, though you get more features from the paid version."
"This solution is available for free with the opening of a Google account."
"I believe my company has a yearly license for Google Hangouts, but I'm not sure because this is a corporate account, so I don't have the details."
"I think there is a need for payment for licensing, but as students, we didn't have to pay for it when we were using it. Our professors were the ones paying for it since they needed to record the sessions."
"The tool's pricing is reasonable. I think we get discounts as an organization."
"I rate the product's pricing two or three on a scale of one to ten, where one is low price and ten is high price."
"There is a 40-minute time limit when you use the basic version, which is free."
"We do not incur any licensing costs, as we use the free version."
"We pay a yearly licensing fee."
"Zoom is free."
"There is a yearly license for this solution. I would like it if they offered better prices."
"The annual price of approximately $200 for the solution is reasonable."
